Thoughts On This Play By Tua - Is The Commentator Right?

Safety right there over the top. Could the ball have been place a little better? Sure, but it's not an example of a pass that makes Tua "good", but not "great". If anything, it is a positive example of a pass from Tua. If he doesn't place the ball between the CB and S, the ball is intercepted.
exactly this, not many are placing the ball so well between the 2 in a place the wr can come back and make a play.. if thats herbert .. thats prob an int from the safty no question

This was almost perfect ball placement by Tua he throws it further upfield and the safety rocks Tyreek, so if he was trying to make Tua look bad he picked the wrong play.

I just don’t think it puts Tua in a bad light like you said though…in fact the opposite, there are only a handful of qbs that have that kind of touch.

The point is of this thread is we participated.

If anything, what about the guy in the middle of the field who clearly beat his man and has no safety over him? Not one time did Tua scan the field in that play.

lol wish people that didn’t have a clue would speak less

This is on the windup after Tua has decided to throw and he’s not open at all. Just starting to break, eventually does come open but most certainly has someone over the top. That however is Tanner Connor who has 3 career reception for 16 yards. Complaining about a 30 yard completion and saying he should of went to tanner Connor is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen on here and something better off kept to yourself in the future as to avoid the complete embarrassment of every other poster thinking you lack an kind of football IQ at all.

If Tua threw it further and it got picked off, OP wouldve posted that video. So anyone can post in hindsight. At that point in the game, everyone shouldve just been happy with a big gain in yardage instead of thinking of the shoulda coulda wouldve.

Saw this on twitter earlier, should of known it’d make its way to the Anti Tua Clown Club group chat and eventually one of the clowns would post it here.

Not sure what’s worse, the fact that he left out the safety over the top which would of made a further throw more challenging or the fact that anyone with a single brain cell would critique a 30 yard completion in a game where the qb only missed 3 throws with 2 tds and 0 turnovers.

Nobody without an agenda would ever think this. If your standard is complete perfection to which this is expecting, there’s not a single qb to ever play that meets your standard. Not Marino, not Mahomes, not Brady, Montana, manning. There’s nobody. Every single qb misses reads/throws or has some throws without great placement. This isn’t even one of them but that’s apparently the level of play that the person in the video expects with the nitpicking of this game. It was a great game that the defense choked away.
