Three reasons the Dolphins should scare Patriots fans

the dolphins aren't really scaring anyone yet. calm down.

If New England players listen to this and start believing it they can be lulled into a sense of entitlement and are then vulnerable.
We beat them in Miami last year and should have beaten them up in Foxboro, as well. Last year Brady had his fewest yards, fewest TDs and lowest pass completion % since 2006. He's 37 and yet the media cannot accept that his physical skills may be declining. And I'm not overly scared of facing his Wrs Aaron Dobson, Brandon LaFell, Edelson and Amendola - we have a superior set of WRs and Gronk is no certainty to start. The Sirius NFL guy was recommending to rest Gronk early in the season so that he wouldn't get hurt, because they need him to be healthy for the playoffs.
It reeks of overconfidence, a big upset is on.

Let me get this straight, a Sirius NFL guy thinks that the Fins won't present a problem for the Patriots so that means the Patriots are getting over confident?

I hate to say this but the rest of the NFL thinks the Pats are opening with another cream puff this year. It's time for our Fins to put up. Heading down to the opener, but I'm not optimistic. Hopeful, but not optimistic.

What problem with it do you have? You are fond of Fin fans adoring what's been going on in NE or disagree that NE plays worse at the beginning of the season vs the back half? Do you disagree our arrow is pointing up while theirs is neutral at best?

1. The game will be played in the intense heat and humidity of Miami.

2. Last year the Patriots had more then a few problems in both game competing against Miami.

3. Though the Patriots got themselves Revis, if you consider all the passing weapons Miami has this, there should be little the Pats can do.

4. The Pats have some good weapons on offense (Especially of Gronk will indeed be healthy enough to play), and will probably be able to run at will on Miami, but considering how good the pass-rush will be, and how opportunistic the secondary has become, Brady may be taking huge chances every time he goes back to pass.

There is no doubt no matter where the Pats play the Dolphins, what time and date they play the Dolphins, or in what type of atmosphere/weather, the Pats should be considered the favorites, considering how they have proven year in and year out how consistent they are, but this Dolphins team seems to have bite, and there is a good possibility that by years end, this team may be considered a far better and more dangerous team then people expected...time will tell.

I've been a Fins fan since 1970 and hate the Pats above all teams, but underestimating your opponent and not giving them due credit is not smart. The Pats significantly upgraded this offseason (Revis alone is a huge upgrade), while we didn't, and they went to the AFC championship game last year. Their arrow is pointed up. But yes, I agree that they play worse in the first half of the season, especially on the road, so we do have a good shot to beat them in the first game. Taking the division from them would be more of a long shot. That's reality, not what I want to happen.
 
Patriots favored by 4 1/2 points on the road at Top Bet.
Obviously not scaring Vegas.

We didn't upgrade? What have you been watching. Our oline is a huge upgrade. Our OC is a huge upgrade. Landry is an upgrade

There is no doubt we have upgraded our offensive line, but it is still valid to question if our line qualifies for an average starting caliber offensive line. Given Landry's ability to catch with his hands, he definitely upgrades the number 5 receiver. It is too early to tell if he upgrades other WR positions.

You consider the Oline an upgrade even with Pouncey out?

We also have 2 key defensive players set to serve suspensions.

So, maybe we'll look upgraded by the end of the season, but not so much now.

I'm not going to consider a coach an upgrade until we see performance when the games count.
