Three reasons the Dolphins should scare Patriots fans

make no mistake, the Fins are getting no love from local sports radio up here. They have already chalked this up as a W. I'll be heading down for the game and hope we kick some Patsy's arse!

I'm headed up to the Cape for a week this Saturday... I will be sporting my Fins hat (and various Fins shirts) proudly everywhere I go.

31 teams passed on him 5 times, including the Pats. But ya he drafted him and man...6th round, 1st-ballot HoF, great QB...there's NO WAY there's not a ton of luck involved there. Nobody, including BB, ever expected that. Amazing.

p:

Back when Brady was drafted, there were no rookie slotting for salaries. BB knew Brady was going to be HOF QB, but he didn't want to pay him a 1st or 2nd round contract.

BB also knew 31 other teams would not draft a skinny QB from Michigan, so he waited until the 6th round.

The rest is history.

Do you really believe that?

I worry about our chances when one of our weapons is our sweaty GM.

The media has already handed the AFC East to the Patriots. The other day on Sirius NFL the analyst said the Patriots are so superior that they get to a minimum 13 - 3 season, just picking up Revis. If New England players listen to this and start believing it they can be lulled into a sense of entitlement and are then vulnerable.
We beat them in Miami last year and should have beaten them up in Foxboro, as well. Last year Brady had his fewest yards, fewest TDs and lowest pass completion % since 2006. He's 37 and yet the media cannot accept that his physical skills may be declining. And I'm not overly scared of facing his Wrs Aaron Dobson, Brandon LaFell, Edelson and Amendola - we have a superior set of WRs and Gronk is no certainty to start. The Sirius NFL guy was recommending to rest Gronk early in the season so that he wouldn't get hurt, because they need him to be healthy for the playoffs.
It reeks of overconfidence, a big upset is on.

You guys never learn don't you... lol

Soooooo you mean that we do learn, right? Im just trying to figure out if your double negative was supposed to cancel out.

Better luck next time.

solder looks to be playing hurt to me...that new oline coach of the pats may be a down grade also...

That's right, Dante Scarnecchia finally retired after 30 odd years as the Patriot O-line coach. His replacement is Dave DeGuglielmo, who was Sparano's guy and had a stint here at the Dolphins 2009 - 2011 and then he followed Sparano to the Jets. We saw nothing from DeGuglielmo in those 3 years to suggest that he had special skills developing O-linemen, although he had success years before at Boston College.

Very true, because Miami beat the Pats in the 2nd meeting, I am sure the Pats brass talked to the NFL, and told them to make sure the Ref call the game the way they did in the 2nd half of their 1st game, just in case for the 3rd straight meeting in a row, the Pats players can't match the Dolphins players on talent and execution alone.

yeah but only prob was Davis did just that, got his hand in front to knock the ball down and they call PI and he barely touched his guy. anything can be construed a PI or holding now. very subjective. they say it will get better but not the first game of season IMO.

Mike Wallace is exactly right. They dont call it for us. Nor will they against NE.

Against NE, Miami will get some calls early at points that will not impact the game much one way or the other (During 1st or 2nd down early in a drive), but then later will start calling calls more to the favor of the Patriots...difference: They will be at crucial points, (when Miami is about to score, or about to get the Patriots offense off the field).

Seems to happen to much to Miami, I almost sometimes wonder if there is a script.

Yea, Bill was brilliant waited till the 6th round, because what team would pick a Michigan QB that was said to be a solid player that could be a quality backup in the 1st 6 rounds, then he waited until the moment Bledsoe got severely hurt (An injury he expected from the moment he drafted Brady), to finally give Tommy his big break.

Bill had a great plan....genius!!!

Stop with this Belichick nonsense. He's a great defensive mind. And that's all he ever was, until they blindly LUCKED into Brady. Thats it. You could put plenty of coaches with Brady and they'd be just as successful. If he can continue this winning once Brady retires, then ill call him a genius. But far as im concerned, he took a team built by Parcells and lucked into Brady and rode the gravy train.

Does Brady win all by himself? The rest of the team has turned over several times since they first won the Super Bowl, but still they win, making a trip to the AFC Championship game 3 years in a row now. They won 11 games when Brady was out for the season. Belichick is the one constant.
