@IzzyGould

Miami Dolphins training camp weather report: Partly cloudy, highs near 90. @davidcanter afternoon thunderstorms.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Yesterday David Garrard stiff armed the competition, putting some distance between himself & Matt Moore. Curious to see if Moore rebounds.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
I'm wondering if today is the day Ryan Tannehill gets the call up & works with the 1st team. Not sure he's ready for that 1st team D YET?

The Lamar Thomas ‏@TheLAMARkable36
Had a dream that I was in training camp. Dammit woke up just before I got my check. Smh !

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Every day the group of defenders doing wind sprints after practice with DC Kevin Coyle grows. I'm curious if it keeps spit balling?

Armando Salguero ‏@ArmandoSalguero
No practice again today for Brian Hartline (calf).

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
New acquisition Chandler Burden is in attendance at Miami Dolphins practice

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Chad Johnson reverts to the orange shoes he wore Sunday. Yesterday it was gold shoes.

Armando Salguero ‏@ArmandoSalguero
Clyde Gates (hamstring) is also not practicing.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Clyde Gates off the side watching the offensive walk through in the bubble.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Lydon Murtha is working as the second team left guard. Saw that one coming. He's athletic and lean.

Ben Volin ‏@BenVolinPBP
Same drill as always: Brian Hartline and Clyde Gates not practicing today

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley
Hartline still sidelined. Gates looks like he'll be limited.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Actually, cancel that Lydon Murtha tweet. He's still a right tackle. That Eric Steinbach, who looks like Murtha.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Country music song is the first song of the day. Something about smelling something, and smelling fresh cut grass. Help a brotha out?

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
"I got your back when you're backs against the wall. Boys of (something)." Didn't catch it.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Song no. 2 is country too. The Offensive line is clearly running things today.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
I believe former UM and Dolphins QB Steve Walsh is here. He's a high school coach somewhere locally.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
David Garrard working with the first team.

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley
Matt Moore and David Garrard go with the 1s, Tannehill with the backups in walkthrough.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Now Matt Moore rotates in the walk through portion in the bubble.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Artis Hicks still at right guard. Jonathan Martin at right tackle with first group.

Armando Salguero ‏@ArmandoSalguero
Second-year FB Ryan Mahaffey is getting a good amount of work with starters last two days. Keep an eye on him.

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley
Steinbach at LG, Jerry at RG w second team line.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Chris Clemons is spending his second day as the Dolphins' starting safety.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
This is the second straight day I've noticed Charles Clay getting some reps with the starters. Not a lot, but some in a single TE set.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Jonathan Wade just picked off a Matt Moore pass, but the ref threw the flag for pass interference.

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley
Jonathan Wade's INT of Matt Moore called back by holding. Asst coach to ref: C'mon man, this is the NFL!

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
The Dolphins have gotten rid of their stance that offensive linemen must practice with knee pads.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Dolphins working on pass skeleton drills outdoors.

Armando Salguero ‏@ArmandoSalguero
They have to show new coaches they belong. RT @paulrock18: Hartline and/or Gates in trouble if they don't get on the field?

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Dolphins currently working on special teams.

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley
Fins giving everyone a look at KR. D. Thomas, L. Miller, J. Pruitt, Q. Lawrence among all seeing kicks.

Ben Volin ‏@BenVolinPBP
From today's Post: Matt Moore calls Chad Johnson's work ethic "inspiring"

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley
Tyrone Culver just ran clear through Kevyn Scott in drills.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
No doubt about it, Lamar Miller is the starting kick returner when regular season rolls around. Kid has wheels.

Ben Volin ‏@BenVolinPBP
From today's Post: Jimmy Wilson feels comfortable with his transition from cornerback to safety

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Dolphins now working on individual drills outdoors. Another steamy morning.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Brian Hartline is starting to look a lot better, but if he rushes back he could suffer another setback with the calf.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Charles Clay still has plenty of work to do when it comes to in-line blocking.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
I'm told the Dolphins TEAM will be signing autographs during Saturday's 9:15am scrimmage at Sun-Life, which is open & free to the fans.

---- UPDATE 1 ----

Ben Volin ‏@BenVolinPBP
Chris Clemons back working with the 1's at strong safety today

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Sean Smith convinced me yesterday the 7-on-7 drills are not a fair gauge of the passing game.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Seriously, this is the most boring Dolphins practice so far. Energy level is flat.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Speaking of 7-on-7, Matt Moore just lofted a nice over-the-shoulder pass to Legedu Naanee.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Ryan Tannehill just threw an INT grabbed by Anderson Russell.

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley
Marcus Thigpen drops one in the breadbasket from Tannehill.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Legedu Naanee continues to be consistent with a tight reception from a Matt Moore pass with Jimmer Wilson all over him.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
I've heard so much negative stuff about Legedu Naanee's hands. But I've seriously seen him drop 2 passes all camp.He catches in traffic a lot

Ben Volin ‏@BenVolinPBP
Ridiculous catch by Roberto Wallace on a deep seem pass in double coverage. He's been the star of training camp so far

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Matt Moore with a laser to Roberto Wallace with a nice one-handed grab. Crowd wakes up on that play.

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley
Tremendous one-handed catch by Roberto Wallace for a touchdown down the right side.

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley
Meanwhile, Julius Pruitt drops one on the other side on an out-route.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Ryan Tannehill ends the drill with a crisp pass in the middle to Chad Johnson.

Armando Salguero ‏@ArmandoSalguero
Roberto Wallace is turning the deep sideline catch over a CB for TD into his practice signature. Another just now.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
11-on-11 drill now

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Matt Moore is taking the first snap of 11-on-11.

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley
Reggie Bush follows FG Ryan Mahaffey in first 11-on-11 rep.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Matt Moore working with the first team. First play was a Reggie Bush sweep, then a fumbled snap with Mike Pouncey at center.

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley
It's raining laundry early in these 11-on-11 drills. Sloppy work.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
False start on third play for the first team. Not looking smooth at all.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Daniel Thomas makes solid run to the left side.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
There are a lot of flags being thrown on the offensive line for false starts today.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Matt Moore with a rollout pass to the right. No receiver in the area and almost picked by Tyrone Culver.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Ryan Tannehill is about to get some reps with the ones.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Ryan Tannehill first pass with the 1s, a completion to the right to Marlon Moore.

Ben Volin ‏@BenVolinPBP
Tannehill is getting some work in 11 on 11s with the starting offense, but against the backup defense

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Tannehill’s second play appeared to be a fumbled snap recovered by Charles Clay.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
Tannehill deep pass to the right intended for Chad Johnson broken up by Nolan Carroll.

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley
Would-be touchdown from Tannehill to Chad Johnson broken up at last moment by Tyrone Culver.

Jacquies Smith forced David Garrard to step up in pocket with pressure.

Izzy Gould
‏@IzzyGould

Clean exchange from Tannehill to Daniel Thomas, who then takes a step and fumbles the ball.

Izzy Gould ‏@IzzyGould
This is the last period we are permitted to Tweet. Prepare for Twitter silence until after practice.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Jared Odrick tackles Steve Slaton for a loss. Paul Soliai flew up the center, forcing Slaton outside.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Roberto Wallace dropped a possible TD pass. Didn't see the QB (Garrard or Devlin).

---- UPDATE 2 ----

Izzy Gould
‏@IzzyGould

Jake Long says he's the healthiest he's been in three years.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
"The way I grade myself I felt I didn't play well last year," Jake Long said. "I'm my worst critic. I critique everything I do."

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
"Smart kid, has a great arm, really anticipates where the opening are," Fasano said of Tannehill, who is ahead of the rookie QB he's seen

Armando Salguero ‏@ArmandoSalguero
Jake Long says he feels the healthiest he's been in 3 years. Looks it, too.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Roberto Wallace working on the jugs machine after a day of drops.

Matt Moore was the top QB performer today.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Chas Alecxih sacked Ryan Tannehill on his final 11-on-11 series.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
"I think he's under rated in this league. The best route runner I've ever been around," Tannehill said of Davone Bess.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly
Chad @Ochocinco plucked a high Ryan Tannehill pass out the sky, coming from nowhere. Looked like a super hero.

Doesn't sound like the offense is in sync today. Lots of fumbles.

i like hearing tannys finally getting some snaps with the 1's...even if its against the 2's on d

All these botched snaps are worrysome...

The concern to me is that the energy is flat today. Yesterday is one thing, since they had Tuesday off and sometimes it can take a bit to get back into gear, but it might be time for a little negative reinforcement from Philbin, who is not known as a yeller.

Roberto Wallace might be making a move to replace Hartline(if and when he gets healthy) with all those over the shoulder TD's. At this point it looks like Johnson, Bess, Wallace as the starting WR's.

That's more than a little premature. Remember that Brian Hartline has impressed during actual regular season football games. When Roberto Wallace has had his chances during games...he's generally blown them.

I don't mean to sound harsh, I do agree with you that Roberto Wallace has made his presence felt and is looking more and more like a guy who can make the team. I think what is interesting is he's crossing over from being a guy that flashes to being a guy that consistently brings it in the practices. That's a very tough thing to do...going from being a strobe light to a flood light. But being realistic, he's not even assured of a roster spot yet, let alone a spot ahead of Brian Hartline.

To me it sounds like their legs are shot from being run hard the first week......that's the first thing i thought of.

Everybody is aloud one bad day. Everything has sounded pretty good until today... Happy that miller seems to have found a spot on the return team. Now I don't have to put Davis back to return kicks in madden lol.

On the positive side, it's good to hear that Roberto Wallace is playing consistently well, day after day. Maybe he can make it as an NFL wide receiver.

That's possible. They run a lot of reps in practice. However they don't run over in practice, everything is still condensed into a 2-3 hour period.

Now that I think back it does seem like I remember it being common for players to lose their legs a little after a week of TC. They start to get their legs back again shortly.

Agreed. It seems like a logical and methodical approach Philbin is taking. Let RT acclimate to the speed of the game by giving him a couple days with the backups, then working him with the starters on offense against the #2 defense, then after a couple more practices I assume he'll be with working against the #1s as well.

I'm becoming more convinced that this isn't a conventional 3-way race for Starting QB. I think its really between Tannehill and the winner of Moore VS Gerrard. The loser, Moore or Gerrard, will be traded.

Yesterday was a bad day as well.

A lot of positive from Roberto Wallace can't wait to watch some preseason games...the false starts will cease a little bit..its only the 2nd week of two of day people

Baby steps. He's got a lot of steps to go. He's got to go from flashing in practice to consistent in practice to flashing in games to consistent in games.
