Tight End

We need some depth at TE big time. First choice would be the draft, 2nd choice would be free agency......but we need a playmaker to work with Clay.

If we can bring Keller back at the right price , and he is fully back to where we are not guessing , then i would go that route , because we need to take care of the main poss , such as an aggressive LB er and a bruising Type RB and take care of the Main problem in F.A. and that is the Offence Line , after we take care of RB , LB , we can use the rest on BPA , thats a good thing that we dont have a whole lot of needs .... but if keller isnt going to be ready it might be best to go ahead and draft a TE if he isnt going to be ready , but we are in pretty good shape as long as we draft for the need ..and to have somebody that knows how to draft .....

Having a 6'5" guy with a huge catch radius who can work the seam would be a big asset for this offense. Clay isn't that kind of guy.

Dustin Keller might not ever play football again.

Eiffert is 6'6 , Ertz is like 6'5 or so. I know they were rookies but still I was not impressed with them at all. Even Fleener in his 2nd year has not looked so impressive. Especially since he has his college QB throwing him the ball. See if Keller is healthy enough if not maybe I'd consider it but not for a 1st or 2nd round pick with all the holes we have. We need LB, Oline, RB help.

Clay is a nice little weapon and change of pace, but we need a specimen and prototype TE.

Not to mention the impact it would have on Clay's game.

Ding ding ding. Teams gameplanned for Clay at the end of the year. That's why he 'disappeared.'

Teams that gameplan for Clay when we have a monster running loose off the line will pay.

Exactly. We need multiple playmakers. Lets assume Gibson comes back healthy, you add a playmaking TE and a RB who can catch the ball out of the backfiled and make some plays. Do you think that would be enough for this offense assuming you can get a little better play from the offensive line? (Not expecting a miracle in one year). Question is are we good enough at WR or do we need another explosive WR also with size maybe.

He's a mismatch receiver too from what I've seen.

Dude's going to be a freak.

(For another team. Because the Dolphins don't draft offensive playmakers.)

2 minutes and 35 seconds...that's all I'll say

If Keller isn't ready next year, draft a TE or sign a guy like Jermichael Finley. Even if Keller is ready, I'd still draft a TE. Teams need depth.

Guys, I know Clay had a semi-breakout year. But where do you want the team to go via? Resign keller? Draft Ebron? Free Agency with Pitta/Finley/Graham?
Hope that Egnew develops - jk

I personally would love to get one of the young top TEs in the 1st round, but if Keller proves to be healthy, and Miami decides to go all out to fix the line, bringing back Keller would not be that horrible an idea.

I stand pat... we don't know if Sims can be good, and maybe sign Keller if he comes less than 5 M

How so, you anticipate running more Two tight sets? I believer wr are strongest when we run 3 wide, one tight and single back

Clay has proved he can hold the load, I am not into paying Keller 4 or 5 M to play 25-35 percent of the snaps or to take snaps away from Gibson,

overhaul the line, get another back, I'm not with the Madden approach to the TE position. Clay proved he is fine

Great point. When teams game plan to take you out, you know you have made it in the NFL. I think that Clay's play may have had more of an effect on other receivers being open than Wallace going deep THIS YEAR.

Jeff Ireland watches that film and says "Yeah, but what's his time in the cone drill? Pfft."
