I agree. People who are trashing him for two poor performances are the same ones who are saying "don't judge Travis Minor on two preseason games".

I'm not judging Couch from two poor performances....I'm judging him from 59 poor performances.

For the record, here is how they stack up:

Fiedler: 61 TD's 58 Ints 59.4 comp. ratio 78.1 rating
Couch: 64 TD's 69 Ints 59.8 comp. ratio 75.1 rating

Given that Fiedler has been surrounded with people like Ricky, Konrad, McMichael, Chambers, etc and has had a defense which consistently has provided him with solid field position and ample opportunities....

...and Couch had a supporting cast of...basically nobody...

I think Couch's stats are more impressive than Fiedlers.

Upgrade? ...hard to say...but statistically, doing just as much with less....it would make all the sense in the world to give him a shot.

Bringing Couch here is just wasting one of our roster spots. Couch has proven time and time again that he just isn't a great, or even that good of a QB. The preseason game footage I watched of him I witnessed one of the strangest and most ineffective releases I've ever seen.

In all fairness Jay has been to an extent a "reliable" QB for us. Granted he's not the best even in Miami, he can still manage to find ways not to screw up games most of the times and be effective.

I found an updated roster NES rom, opened it in my NES emulator (RockNES) which gives you the option of taking a snapshot of the screen, started a game, got a sack with Jason Taylor, took a snapshot, resized the pic to fit the avatar specifications...and that's it. :D
