We already have a speedy wideout that we're paying a lot of money.
You think it is a good idea to spend almost 30M dollars on two WR's?
I havent.. And Gibson.. We'd have what, 40+M tied up in the WR position alone if we signed D-Jax?

Its not about Ross affording it, its about having that 12M in dead cap space that we could use on other upgrades. 12M is a big chunk that you will never get back.
Miami will ALWAYS fight for 3rd if they continue to play the sideline in situations like this. I COULD CARE LESS if he was Tookies right hand man. Wallace/ Jax/ Harline - who is stopping that? everybody wants to piss and moan around here when the offense looks like we struggle to get a 1st down but when there is an opportunity for Miami to really be elite everyone wants to turn a nose up to it. Miami is completely STUPID to let at least not get in the runnings for a PROVEN deep threat.
I want DJax bad. I say trade hartline and his 5 million cap hit to someone for a conditional 7th rounder and pay DJax! An extra 3-4 million a year for a pro bowler compared to a Hartline. Ummm no brainer
So what - sign DJAX to a one year deal - and tie up another 10 or 11 million this year. What are we gonna spend on anyhow?
Guys on this site get mixed up between fiscally conservative thinking and opportunity.
We have a luxury of virtually no $ tied up in QB so take what people are paying jackasses like Flacco and get us to an elite level.
Its not my money so I say spend it - spend all to make ME the fan HAPPY!
Guys on this site remind me of me when my wife and I are contemplating buying our next commuter vehicle or a lawn mower versus lawn service - F that noise - this is the NFL and I have not sniffed a superbowl title since 1973 (nor have the rest of you) so Ross can get his rich rickety ASS out of his office and down to the Dolphins facility and write DJAX a year deal he cannot refuse and make EVERYONE happy!
What in the world makes you think he will sign a one year deal? You obviously did not read that he is looking for a multiyear deal worth between 9-10M per year.
You guys on this site that say, just sign him to this and just sign him to that are unrealistic. Its laughable that you think we have the power to do anything we want in terms of "just signing" a guy to this or to that and its that easy. Be realistic as stated above, what makes you think he will sign a year deal with us, because even for a one year 20M deal, he isnt doing it. He'd take a 4year 36M deal over a 1 year 20M deal as the long term deals are the trend in the NFL.
