Todd McShay - "Andrew Luck's best fit would be in MIAMI

If Carolina has the worst record and we are in the bottom 10 there is a chance we package a few picks and players to get him. If he is not available who would you want ? Any other francise QB's coming out next year ?

The Colts may also be willing to entertain offers.

5-6 teams would be trying also, the chances of us gettin this guy is slim to none.
 
I could see the Colts and Irsays doing everything they can to get Luck if P. Manning is done. KC has Cassell and I think they gave him a big contract but they would deal Cassell's contract to go after Luck. Minny cannot be happy with McNabb but they should win some games with Peterson running the ball. Jacksonville and Carolina have their QB's, so they wouldn't take Luck. I would just pony up our first four picks to move up to #1. We can't keep going year after year without a franchise QB. It all starts there.
 
There mere fact that we have, as McShay puts it, "the right supporting cast" pretty much disqualifies us from having any chance to pick #1
 
It would be funny if we did get Luck some how. And everything else still had holes and a rookie QB/coach staff just flopped from the get go. Then what would happen to the collective fan base?

I think Miami has some pieces on offense. However the big issue is the oline and I think people see Jake Long and think its a good oline. Good Oline my ***. The biggest problem last year was this piss poor OLine also . . . and Henne just isn't a good enough QB at this time to overcome the constant heat . . . hell not many QB's are. Then the defense doesn't create turnovers . . . that has gotta change.

If Manning comes back he may persuade Irsay to trade out of the spot to get weapons for a last run at a championship. Not an easy decision for Irsay.
 
We have to stop this soft serve sh*#, go after the players we need!
