Todd McShay - "Andrew Luck's best fit would be in MIAMI

Miami, if picking in the top 10 has a chance. The thing about Miami is that they do have tradable players that could persuade a team that needs a QB or some team like ST Louis who could wind up in the top pick.

Wake/Starks. I am not saying they would get huge paybacks. But say our 1st a 1st next year and Cam Wake would be a nice starting point.

Bill Cowher and Andrew Luck would be a perfect fit for Miami.

I still support Sparano more then probably anyone on this board.

But if you told me, next year we could have Cowher and Luck and guarantee it, I would be the first one kicking Sparano to the curb

There are three pretty good qb's that are projeted to come out that are all first round talents..

Jones, Luck and Barkley.

If Miami could get anyone of these guys it would be great..Of course the year is not over..Most thought Jake Locker was a slam dunk #1 overalll qb and look how that turned out... He ended up getting selected very high but most thought he would slip farther.

And you just know Harbough (who has no QB) will be in the bidding.

If Miami has a pick from 2-6 then they should trade up for Luck. If they have a pick from 6-12 then they should trade up for Barkley. Anything later and they should try and trade up for L.Jones. I doubt Barkley will fall anywhere outside the top 5. I have a feeling the Dolphins may end up with Matt Barkley.

If I could keep my 2nd round pick next year, I would do our first, a first the following year, Randy Starks and Cam Wake (assuming it ALL blows up) for Andrew Luck. I would immediately look for the best RT in round 2 (hopefully DJ Fluker declares . . . he has top 10 potential, but not right now, but he technically is elgible as a RS soph). Then with our 3rd round pick I holla at Indy and see if they would do our early 3rd for Jerry Hughes. Hughes needs to be in a 3-4 (assuming we are still running one) and he hasn't produced in Indy. Throw him on the weakside and I still roll with Koa Misi on the strong side with our 2 ILB's. In Free Agency, I'm looking for a FS . . . that is my goal. I move Reshad Jones to SS and have him challenge Bell for the starting spot and keep Clemmons as the backup FS to whoever we get in FA. I get Langford and Soliai resigned on the DLine and my defense is set. On offense I have my bookends, I have my QB, I have my WRs and my RB's . . . round 4, I'm getting my athletic TE and I'm also looking for a goalline RB/FB later in the draft, with an offensive guard and a return specialist.

I think that would fix the team rather quick IMO.

Well Matt Barkley would certainly be a nice consolation prize.

The only way you get Cowher I think is to have that 1st or 2nd pick in the draft. He doesn't want to come here if we have the 10th or higher pick. His fate would be the same as Sparano's if he got a middle of the road pick. Fated to the same mediocrity as Sparano.

The worst thing that happened to this franchise was 2008 & Chad Pennington. His division win guaranteed that we suck as we speak and probably for the next 3 to 4 years.

The thought of having Cowher and Luck almost makes you want to go 1-15.

Wouldn't it be something if Miami kept Ireland, traded for the #1 pick and they went Kalil

Ross wont get rid of Ireland, meaning we wont be able to get Cowher (he wants his own GM), and meaning we will end up drafting hte best lineman available with our pick.
