Odrick, Langford, Starks, Bess are close behind. Then Smith, Fields, DT, and maybe Jones. But then that's about it. The other 40 players are pretty much expendable. Which is scary.

That's a pretty good start point for the new guy. By year three of the new regime I doubt many will be left anyways.

1-jake long when healthy one of the two best tackles in the league
2-Vontae Davis- nowhere near the best in the league but by far our best Cb
3-Brandon Fields - becoming a great punter and getting lots of practice
4-davonne bess- bang for buc a great value and definately worth keeping
5-Mike pouncey- lookin pretty good as a rookie

some that did not make list

brandon marshall way too problematic and expensive
cameron wake- about to come up on a big payday and prob best to trade while value is high
danial Thomas- 2 very good games and 2 missed for hamstring so who knows if this guy can stay on field
sean smith- way too up and do2wn
kARLOS DANSBY- usually a top inside linebacker but is not playing like the best paid inside linebacker

We have invested too much in these 5 - trades & draft picks, to not keep them.

I think we could obtain a 2nd round pick for Wake, a 3rd round pick for Dansby, 4th round pick for Henne, Hartline & Bess, and a smattering of lower picks for some of our other average starters.
