Tua Fires Agent Signs New One

you picked a terrible example. in this case, nothing garbage about my post or the link presented. it was simply fact based and non judgemental. otherwise i agree re florio. he is a condescending toolbag. maybe start another thread in the general conversation section about how much florio sucks, i would certainly support that, and chime in in support! annoying he has the platform he does, because that guy is a first class DB if you ask me!

I think that at times the suppositions made following the OP tend to bias the thread a certain way. In this instance, people are now saying things like, "Tua probably did this, Tua probably feels this way." This results in others REACTING to those suppositions, and soon enough, the entire conversation revolves around a gaslit narrative that a few posters just ******* made up in their heads.

Nobody has any idea why Tua fired one agent and hired another. None. The incident itself is factual, but then people try to staple their own opinions on, and as has been pointed out, suggest that they have even the slightest basis in reality. They don't. Again:

  • Nobody has any ******* idea about whether or not Miami is going to offer Tua a long-term extension.
  • Nobody has any ******* idea if Miami feels Tua "needs to prove he's more than he's shown."
  • Nobody has aby ******* idea if Tua is gearing up for any specific type of negotiation.
  • Nobody has any ******* idea why Tua fired one agent and hired another.
Your post was fine - methinks you kinda got caught in the crossfire.

No big deal. Players change agents all the time and if Tua feels his new agent is better for him than Steinberg was, he simply decided to hire the new agent.
The Dolphins will pick up his 5th year option because they don’t have a better option than Tua.

After he has a great season next year, the Dolphins and his new agent will reach an agreement on a new long term contract for Tua.

Homers Poem:

Birdie, Birdie in the sky.
Why'd you "drop that" in my eye.
I'm a big boy, I won't cry.
I'm just glad that cows don't fly!

Be Happy! - LOL

Some of the ads I’ve been seeing on him looking kinda low budget and like they were shot on a phone. He might just be looking to upgrade his whole profile. I’m sure there are more “modern” agents than Steinberg right now

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Tua was unhappy😂

agree, but to be fair it is a chatboard so the purpose is to speculate about these kinds of things, otherwise nothing to chat about!

That's fair, of course. It's when people pass off their opinions as factual...and then make further assumptions based on those bs "facts" that gets me.

Are we sure the agent didn’t fire Tua? I can’t imagine a conversation where Tua was like: “I’ve had a major hip injury, and a million concussions. I just missed my team’s first playoff game in six years, and that’s the best you could do? I’m supposed to get paid!”

And this right here is exactly what I was referring to in regards to being a chickenhead on the View.

The "purpose" of a chatboard isn't to speculate about things. The purpose is to just gather with other fans of the team and discuss the team and its dynamics. If you want to post gossip to the site and discuss it more power to you. Just have the knowledge that people are going to tell you things like the aforementioned poster did. Sounds like you are well aware of it, and its all good.

FWIW This would be the best time to sign him to an extension while the going rate is low. It only gets higher each and every year and if he does ball out and becomes that franchise guy it’ll only get higher. He’s already shown he can play he just needs to stay healthy.

Exhibit A.
