Tua needs to consider retirement...

I had an Uncle, who fought professionally as a Welterweight. I saw 1st hand what multiple or numerous concussions, can do to the health and well-being of a human being.

While I realize each person or medical case is different. The long term health of Tua seems to be the issue at hand.

Athletes aren't like they used to be. More of them are a lot more cognizant of their futures than they used to be.

For my own part, I'll be perfectly honest, watching Tua react this way to getting hit is taking a lot of fun out of watching the Dolphins. I've been a fan of this team since 1970. I've also experienced real life and seen people die right in front of me. I've already come to grips with the idea that I'd feel better if he just didn't risk it anymore ... play Olympic flag football or whatever. I don't want to see what by all accounts is a decent human being suffer and think about what his family has to go through every time he walks onto the field. I'm fine if the Dolphins tell him to leave for his own good, trade off or release pretty much everyone on the roster, let Grier and McDaniel go, close this unfortunate chapter in the Dolphins frustrating history and start over. I think I'd actually feel better about that and watching us try to build something again rather than see a man put his life on the line and for a team that has no chance to contend on top of it. It's tragic.

Being selfish I will start with moi

I won’t recover watching him in that fence position is heart wrenching

Tua
His family is priority no 1

Miami
Cannot move forwards without a duel threat QB and Tua can’t be a sitting duck back there

You seem to be replying to me like I was calling you out specifically. I didn’t quote you so that wasn’t my intent.

It’s not dumb for a group of people who have genuine concern for Tua to discuss this. Of course no one is wishing him ill will, but it’s not dumb for people to process the situation differently than you may choose to.

Realistically none of us know what is next. So let’s not speculate. Let’s just hope he recovers well, regardless of his future in football.
Was not directed at you all
But some box of rocks insinuated that I wished ill will on Tua
Just ridiculous

He's a good guy. I think he should consider it for his family. I'm not saying that for the Dolphins. Other QBs don't get concussed this much. This sport is not worth having brain damage the rest of his life.
I think it's a real possibility. Definitely wouldn't blame him if he made that decision. Tough way to leave, though, coming off a poor performance.
