Tua Tagovailoa has given Dolphins answers they needed and earned new contract

I hope tua is smart enough to structure a contract that will be friendly enough to keep a good team around him. He should look at winners like Tom Brady, Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki and their type that really aided their career by doing so. He should go in and just insist their priority has to be giving him a strong oline and wrs, hopefully the oline is much healthier next season. With his insane popularity and potential for endorsements winning a sb ring could be much more beneficial to him than the extra money that could hinder the team long term.

The Dolphins deserve a discount? Man I’ve read some absolutely dumb **** this week but this post tops everything.

Lay off the crack.
Not sure if that was worse than 'look for the Brady's' like they come around often. Makes me ashamed to be a Gator alum smh.

Yes, good idea, so we can use it on one of the top QB In the draft that have proven nothing yet, unlike Tua who has already proven to be good enough to help his team to 11-12 wins season, and a .650+ winning percentage so far in career (.660+ last two years) on a team that seems to always lead the league in serious injuries.

You know what, I will stick to the sure thing, and let the Bears keep their overall #1.

That's how it goes. You draft a good QB from college, and you give him his window. That window is opening up in 2025.

my check list for Tua to get paid:

Play well and beat buffalo this week
Play well and win a playoff game
dont suck in the playoffs

Can he perform without Hill and Waddle? Whom account for almost 3k of his yards?

How much can he do by himself?

Interesting situation because at this point in his career, as much as I like him, if he cripples the cap and we can't make moves to keep our players to be able to stay in contention...well...

If Miami wins it all, Tua’s contract will reset the market. Of course, I hope he takes the Brady path on contracts. Leave some on the table to keep the team together and to get other needed pieces.

Brady was smart and took lower contracts to allow the team to pay the OL.
It seemed to work out for him and extended his playing career significantly.

Maybe you were looking for a Pro Bowl QB, I was not. I am looking for someone who can take us to SB on rookie contract.
Well then you have this year and next to realize your dream, then your in for a long wait.

You don't replace the QB leading the lead in almost every passing category bc he hasn't won the big game yet. It's f***ing ridiculous. John Elway didn't win "big" games for years, did you think he sucked too?

This is an absolute no brainer. Sad that this fan base just continues to not see it. He leads the NFL in passing yards and completion %, he has thrown for more yards this season than anyone has for the fins since the mid 90's (it will likely be the mid 80's after Sunday), he's got something like a career 2 to 1 win ratio, he's starting at the pro bowl, he's a genuine leader and inspiration to this team. Lock his contract up as fast as you can because if you wait another year it'll only get more expensive. Crazy to think there seems like there was more support for Ryan Tannehill's extension, and he's not half the QB Tua is :(

TUA is extremely dependent on Oline and star receivers.

Josh Allen isn’t? Joe Burrow isn’t? Justin Herbert isn’t? Jalen Hurts isn’t? Brock Purdy isn’t? Lamar Jackson send 4 get torched - his Oline is one of the better. Dak Prescott isn’t dependent on his Oline?

Seriously - how many QBs made it thru the season? Look at the ineptness of the OLine across the league the starting Dline across the league is full of full fledged athletes
