Tua take...

If reports are true, it's much worse. It's similar to Bo Jackson's dislocation/fracture injury that ended his career.
I'm not a doctor (although I do play one on TV)......have medical procedures advanced on Bo Jackson's type of injury that would make the prognosis not as dire as Bo's?

Didn't Wilson have a fracture as well?
I don't th
If his injury is as bad as it appears it won’t matter if he opts to remain at Alabama or not for the 2020 season. Because it is highly unlikely that he will be recovered enough to play at Alabama or in the NFL next year.
I would not be surprised in the least if we don’t see him playing again until 2021 and that is only if he is able to recover fully from this latest serious injury. Hopefully this won’t be a career ending hip injury.
Agree, unfortunately, this may be a career-ending injury for him. Even if he is able to come back in the next year or two, he won't be the same. People are saying Bo was older, therefore, he couldn't recover. He was only 28 when it happened, not like he was in his mid 30s, he was still very young. It doesn't look good for the kid, guess we'll know more come next week.
.

I’m sure Tua has insurance. He could cash a $10 million check and some team would pick him in the late first/early second round even if he misses next year which seems likely. We won’t be bad enough to take Chase Young so I say let’s grab Jeudy and then grab Tua with the Pittsburgh pick. We could even take Fromm or Jordan Love in the 2nd round.
I would say if what 13Marino13 said is true, no team is going to use a first or second on him.

If Tua has a dislocation with a wall fracture his career is highly in doubt. That's a calamitous injury. No NFL team would draft him and if he was ever on the Dolphins' big board, he shouldn't be on it anymore.

I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night. I don't think it's the procedure as much as it is the internal damage that is caused. He's not gonna heal any differently than Bo did. If it's a severe fracture, I think it's going to be pretty intrusive in order to fix it. Plates, screws, IDK, no doctor here either...

Tua has got to be off the menu now... The injury baggage that was lurking in background is front and center now.
Probably a blessing in disguise for the franchise but praying the best for him

We obviously don't know enough at this point to really say where this goes, but personally I just can't see him playing at the same level again. It's a devastating injury for any player let alone a QB who relies so heavily on his legs to perform at a top-level. This is like a pitcher blowing out his throwing arm and breaking a bone in it on top of it all.

I'm watching the game now. What quarter was he injured in?

tua might not come out for 2020 draft, big red flag injury prone. lol

It's a tough spot for Tua, if he comes back for his senior year he risks getting injured again. Sounds like a bad hip injury, I think similar to what Bo Jackson had and ended his football career. So tua may not even be ready to start the 2020 season. This may be a blessing in disguise for us. Had we drafted him high it could have really set us back.

On second thought, I think you draft OL with top pick, Tua (if this isn't a career ending injury) with one of the late 1st rounders and Jalen Hurts or Jordan Love in round 2, and let the chips fall where they may.

But watch the Patriots take him with the 32nd pick and terrorize the AFCE for another 2 decades.

It is not the injury so much in Jackson case. It was complications from that fracture which ended his career. I think it is called AVN or bone death of the ball which ended Jackson's career. No matter what the advances are that still could happen.

I know I'm in the minority, but if Herbert is there for our first pick and Burrow is gone, I'm okay with the pick. Just say no to Fromm.

Jalen Hurts is a guy that intrigues me but I really don't know well he translates to the NFL and he's not a guy that teams are seriously looking at to go that early.
