Tua take...

Honestly if it is just the dislocation, I'm still taking my chances on him, if it's a fracture too, he's obviously not declaring.
I think he still will declare. He’ll probably go late first and sit out the year. Honestly, we have so many picks we should take him with the Steelers pick.

Said this weeks ago a but if you play on injured joints especially the leg something else will go. This happens to almost everyone that tries to comeback early.
It does tend to "snowball" once a player either starts to over compensate, or attemp to do things that are physically beyond them.

If anyone is watching, Joe Burrow is putting on a QB clìnic tonight!
Unfortunately he will be in a Bengals uniform next year and not in a Dolphins uniform. At this point it appears it will be Herbert or the Dolphins will have to wait until the 2021 draft to select their QB of the future.
‘Tua, before the hip injury, Burrow, and Herbert are the only QB’s worthy of being drafted in the first round and now Tua is a HUGH question mark.

Qb's always come out of the woodwork as the draft process moves along.

...and I think that history has shown us that it is better to avoid these late rising guys.

Most of them get marked up for their measurables instead of their past production. While I like prototype guys better than most, I want to have seen some production as well... and a high IQ is always nice.

Yeah, high in 2nd round...
Jaylon Smith was a projected top ten pick who slipped to the second ounce after a terrible injury. While Smith was able to overcome his terrible injury and make it in the NFL, he didn’t have the injury history Tua has. Tua suffered an injury to his right knee, he has had surgery on both his ankles and now has suffered his most devastating injury to his hip. With all the injuries to the lower parts of his body you just can’t risk using a high draft pick on him.
Perhaps if he is still on the board when the Dolphins use their second round pick from the Saints, it might worth taking a chance with that pick. I just hope they don’t use a first round pick on a player who is as injury prone as Tua has been.

You can’t draft this guy any earlier than the 3rd day now. I’d be ok taking Burrow/Love/Herbert in the first and Tua in the 6th but you can’t bank on Tua being your starter or even being in the nfl past his first deal.

Real sorry to hear the bad news for the kid … it sucks big time for his NFL dreams … here's to hoping he can overcome ….

On the plus side for the forum … we get to read all the "if we only had Tua" posts next season … all the "#tuatankers can still claim they were right all along … who knows maybe they are/were but if anyone wants to waste one of our 3 #1 picks to get him anyway .... we can't afford such a luxury/gamble IMO

A well established team with a solid starter might get away with it but personally I would move on

Despite his arm strength limitations:lol::lol:
The knock on Brady was he was just an average college QB and he didn‘t have a great arm. He certainly hasn’t let that subpar arm prevent him from being a great NFL QB. Personally I think Burrow would be a great fit for the Dolphins offense. Unfortunately the Bengals probably feel the same way about Burrow fitting into their offense and they will likely be picking before the Dolphins in the 2020 draft.

I was never a fan of Tua. I dont hate him. He just seemed unsettled . Plus he was gifted two defense stretching wrs and a power back. He was part of the system.
