Surely you jest. Mr. Ross owns the team and he makes the big decisions.
The contract and the framework are in Shore's hands, do you have a problem with reading comprehension in addition to being a blatant troll? I was replying to a guy who said it only gets done if Grier says so, that is simply not the case. Further, Ross does not negotiate or meddle in the framework, he certainly gives final approval, most certainly on an historic contract such as this. Ross is not negotiating with anybody, Shore presents proposals and proceeds with Ross' input and/or final approval. Again, the CONTRACT and it's structure are in Brandon Shore's hands.

There's nothing personal about saying someone is making **** up, especially when backed up with actual facts. If you're going to allow trolls, accept the fact they will be called as such.

Agreed. It's clear, when he's saying short passes letting Hill and Waddle do the rest show very clearly he either doesn't watch the games or is just trolling.

I said "their demands" meaning both Tua and his Agent.

Did you not listen to Tua's press conference? he is in no way shape or form interested in anything less than market value, that is 55mill ish and over 140mill ish guaranteed at singing.

He said "the market is the market, it is not up to the organization to decide how much he gets paid"

if Grier/Shore contract offer is way less than that, I don't see a deal getting done.
Then it doesn't get done.

Like I said, then Tua will be taking a considerable risk. If he has a down year or misses substantial time due to injury, he could very easily end up losing in the end.

I’m probably in the minority, but I feel like Tua has more at stake here. If the Dolphins don’t sign Tua this year, there are myriad of ways they can deal with him or the QB situation overall going forward, some less ideal than others, of course, but still plenty of options. However, if any of the things you mention above happen, Tua is never getting paid anything near what he would get now.

Like I said before and I will say again. Tua needs the Dolphins more than the Dolphins need Tua.

We can let him play out his contract for 23 million this year and then either tag him or negotiate a new contract.

Tua is the only one that has the most to lose

Neither is any other QB. What's your point here? That QBs can't be statistically compared unless we clone players so every one of them have the exact same team, scheme, coach, dry cleaner, etc?

Ridiculous.......
The point is that some QB's have a little more talent around them than others... And that needs to be taken into consideration.

You keep saying it, and people keep explaining why you're wrong. Doesnt seem to stick for some reason

Completely disagree. No way we can afford to downgrade at the QB position.

But they wouldn’t be downgrading. They’ll be forcing him to play this year on his current deal, and then they can keep him for another 3 years after this season whether he likes it or not should they choose to.

They could also always use the non-exclusive tag on him and let some other team determine his worth and then decide if they want to exercise their right to match the offer or let him go. The Dolphins have a lot of options should they decide to use them.

A system made for a QB who was made for the system. WTF is wrong with these people wanting to risk blowing this up? For once in the last quarter century that light at the end of the tunnel is not an oncoming train FFS, why the constant need to go searching for greener pastures? You tell 'em @TrogdorTheBurninator !

You realize tagging him would cost around $42 million?
year 2 is 120% of that and year 3 is 144% of that
