A lot. Dealing with life experiences. And it was a note because it limits the racist term being thrown around at posters.

OK.

The thing is you worded it as if because you are a Hispanic male you think this way, ie. representing all Hispanic males. I know you didn't specifically say that, but your statement made me think that when I saw it.

As one myself, I can say that I don't agree with your entire position on this matter (although there are times that we may agree) and it is sad that many who seem to have your complete frame of mind I have either had to take them to jail myself or to see taken away by a coroner vehicle due to trying to be 'man' enough.

In the end, I don't know you personally and so a lot of what you have written in this thread I may be taking out of context so I'll leave it at that.

I guess I should pull my gun out and go on my porch and shoot it in the air, as instructed by Mr. Enlightenment Joe Biden?

The last run in with the law I had was 16 years ago, after a NEB/KST game and I got cited for a open container. Your own bias in what I believe is showing in your thoughts, because of your life experience. So your thoughts on MY complete frame of mind is jaded and wrong, but you believe it right because of where you come from.

Had to post the video. Big number 30 for KST, a friend from HS. Brian Goolsby, whose son is signing with FL. Life choices in friends and decisions shape who we are today. Our beliefs.

Edit: I did get pulled over a few years later after a KST game, leaving Aggieville. The cop allowed me to call a friend and park my truck, instead of doing a breathe test. I passed the field test, but knew I was legally drunk. And I admitted as much. Since then, cab or friends onry after leaving a football game or partying in Aggieville.

I'm sensing the Dolphins organization is going to be scapegoated for a leaguewide problem, that the PC public has a problem with. Just like the Saints were.

And Goodell's sniveling PR obsessing ass will give the public what it wants, the Dolphins on a platter.

This is unfortunate, and completely unfair. But the longer this goes on the more I see the writing on the wall.

Jonathan Martin or his family, whoever is pushing this thing, is what is wrong with our country as a whole.

Where people feel like they're soooo special, that their individual problems must not be their fault but rather a systemic failure. They're the dumb woman who spilled coffee on her lap and sued McDonalds because she got burned, and since the cup wasn't labled hot she got paid. I'm losing my faith in this country by the day.

I think there's more foulness afoot than that using a soft boy with good paper "creds" who doesn't want to play anymore as the lynchpin . I posted this last night in the Ruckus thread as the latest version of my POV as it relates to venal lawyers, legal precedents loosely redefining standard old boy "bonding" opening a class action Pandora's Box with tentacles reaching out to every team over decades.

Any opposing fans chortling over this fiasco are in for a rude awakening. It's all been orchestrated, down to the theatrical storming out of the cafeteria with an eye towards a class action suit and legal precedent that redefines traditional locker room mischief and bonding as "work place harassment." This will enable all most anybody, especially the fringe players over the last few decades to eke out of the woodwork to join in for a big NFL payday. I guarantee you once the bough has broken, what's been transpiring here is not an anomaly - disgruntled soft players who couldn't hack it across the league will be feasting on the NFL's deep pockets unless they nip it in the bud, killing it decisively "with prejudice" so to speak.

If anybody didn't think that Martin was a spineless scumbag who'd rather burn the league down than even talk to his hierarchy of coaching staff, they certainly should now. If not, I've got a shiny bridge I'd love to sell them spanning Manhattan and Brooklyn

My way of life isn't threatened at all. Just my love for football and the neuter of the male in todays society. I wouldn't expect you and others to understand. As I do know your political leanings. And Perez Hilton is probably one of your biggest fans.

As a hispanic male, I am oppressed by the 'enlightened' male who thinks they know whats best for me. All for the better good. The collective.

For the record... Slick... I am a pale WHITE... CANADIAN... GRINGO... Living and working in Argentina... Not that it has to do with ANYTHING... But since you brought it up. :bobdole:

If you don't believe me you can ask a couple amigos... Vaark or TedSlimm... Way to play the race card bro...

And just for my own curiosity WHY did you bring it up???

And what's next??? Is This the part where you also wrongly assume that I must NEVER have played the game or have ever been in a locker room because I don't 'understand the culture'??? Or am I just part of what is wrong with society today because I don't think like you????

This all sounds fantastic, and works really well until reality sets in. You have individuals on all kinds of supplements, and PED's, and a great many who come from bad backgrounds, and many have permanent emotional and mental scars from their lives or concussions or emotional problems and have easy access to firearms. Lets take Hernandez, he allegedly murdered one of his friends, the boyfriend of his fiance's sister, because Hernandez felt he was talking to the wrong people. And we have a guy on our team, who went out in public and supported him. The average person is not going to stand up to people in these situations unless they are crazy aggressive in their own right. And before we bash the NFL, lets at least admit it's in the leagues best interest to end the 'wild west' atmospheres on some of these football teams. Telling a guy with mental or emotional issues, to man up and confront someone else who may have rage or emotional or mental issues, in this type of environment is a good way to end up with a locker room full of bullet holes someday.

Maybe Martin should have acted like an adult, like most MEN have to in other parts of society.

The NFL isn't about societal norms. And it shouldn't be. Leave the locker room alone. Martin couldn't handle it, he refused to talk to his player rep, and his agent spoke up AFTER he left the team. At some time, individual responsibility should take place. A village can prop you up, but only a individual can take the steps to be a man.
