Vikings Officially Contact Dolphins

So the team trading up thinks they are getting a deal... Sound right. I'll agree with you...

Yes that's usually what happens. It's very rare for a team to pay the exact amount or slightly more to trade up. It happened with the stupid Browns and Winslow from 6 to 7 last year.

In the end the Eli deal came to around a 100 point win for San Diego.

THIS COULD BE FREAKING AWESOME!!!! ok... so if SF takes Smith... we could trade down with Min. that would be awesome! because think about how that would shape up...

1. SF - Smith
2. Min - Edwards
3. Clev - Rogers
4. Chicago - Benson (they like him the most)
5. TB - M Williams or Caddy
6. Tenn - Rolle or M Williams
7. MIA - RONNIE BROWN!!

And with the #18 we could get Mark Clayton or maybe Troy Williamson if he falls a little bit! that would be amazing! :D:D Brown and Williamson!!!! or even Brown and Clayton!!! INSTANT MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT TO OFFENSE!!!!! OH MY GOD!!! if this happened i will run all around my neighborhood screaming like a mad man out of happiness!!!! if i dont faint!

Here's my hope
Trade with Minny
Williams is there at #7 so we trade down with SD and get their 2nd rounder plus something minor (4th next year).
Trade Surtain

Then
#12 Caddy
#18 Matt Jones
#46 Chris Spencer
#61 Best available defensive player at safety, LB, or D-Line
#70 Adrian McPherson
Rest of picks go defense

SD has to pay a little more than just a second and something minor to move up 5 spots in the first round, IMO

yeah.. their second is low... i'd be wanting a second or third next year.

The Browns had the hots big time for K2. The Lions didn't mind who they got so they traded down a spot, picked up a second.

I could see Minny making the trade with us for a couple of reasons.

1.They've addressed their D needs through FA

and

2.Cleveland has started to show alot of interest in Edwards.

if we make a trade for their 2 1sts and a mid round pick it's a fair deal. We can then draft one of the 3 RBs, and either take Thomas Davis (Who Saban is supposedly very interested in), or use the pick as trade bait.

I see MIN and or TAMPA fishing for the best possible deal between SF and Miami.........and then basically using the offers as leverage against each other.

So it appears it willl come down to which teams demands are lower than the other and a trade will be made.......MAYBE! :D

I think that the more likely trade is the Minny trade for their two 1st rounders. If Smith really was Gruden's target and San Fran takes him like is being stated, that trade is dead.

Check this out, what if SF goes ahead and ends up picking Rogers? then we have two teams vying for us because TB thinks we have Alex Smith as more value at #2 than Edwards (which i believe to be true) but we end up actually picking Edwards cus we know that Minny wants him bad and then we just trade the picks once it is Minny's turn to pick and we give them Edwards. that is what they could be discussing right now.

My opinion

two first rounders or no deal with Minny...

no 2 is too valuable to be throwing it away...

Tampa Bay is intriguing because no.5 overall is gonna be a player (plus Saban should ask for next years no.1)
