Voice your opinion! How should suggestive images be treated?

Admins, please leave this stuck for awhile before moving it to Complaints, Suggestions, etc.There has been a fair amount of controversy over the latest amendment to the board's TOS:

For FinHeaven & Co to make this a message board appropriate for any age group and gender, we have decided that there should be a restriction on the amount of skin shown in some of the pictures that are shown in posts, signatures, and avatars. While generally pictures of women are allowed, please try to use your own judgment on what should and should not be posted. Keep the skin limited, and refrain from using thongs, etc.

Keeping in mind the best interests of users, the pressure on administrators and mentors and concerns over freedom of expression, please take a minute to answer this question.

Results are completely unscientific and will not obligate Finheaven.com to change its policy in any way.

I'm a little confused about all this issue. Althought I have only been a member of this board for a few months I have never seen anything bad at all. So what is someone has a woman in a thong. Are we not all adults here?(Or at least teenage guys) Yes, I know there are some women here as well but have they ever complained? It's not like there are any five or six year old childern on here are they?

Someone please tell me what the big deal is

I don't think it is a big deal for 13 year olds to be looking at thongs to be honest. I was looking at more explicit pictures when I was 9. I don't think there are any kids on this board who haven't seen a girl with a thong. I voted for option 3.

Although I do appreciate pictures of women, especially beautiful women, I think since this is a dolphin board we should stick to pictures of our dolphin cheerleaders.

There are some parents out there that would consider images of scantily clad women as pornography. However, I would also place blame on those very parents for letting their child on the Internet without any supervision. So although I understand AJ might be trying to save his ass from an angry email, I think we take enough **** from Bills fans here that such an email would be child's play. I say we keep the pictures up, since most of us agree that they're not pornographic. Hell, so long as nothing posted can be legally considered pornographic, we really have nothing to fear.

However, AJ I do suggest you place a limit on how large a signature picture should be. The 56K users can't like it when they have to wait for a page to load cause a couple guys want to post some high res pictures of a cute little hunny. inFINSible's picture would be perfectly fine, but SuavePhin's might be just a bit too big. Don't get me wrong though, LeAnn has grown up into quite a woman.

All the reactions I have seen to pics of babes has been very positive and fun. If no one likes it then they should "tune in" elsewhere.

The rule should be if you see it commonly on most beaches and streets then it should be allowed here. Swinsuits, tanktops, thongs, etc are permissable. Bare breast, sex, etc is not.

While I love looking at the girls, I don't personally see the relevance in it all. This is a Dolphins forums, and so I understand the cheerleaders, and I personally feel that it should be limited to our lovely ladies in aqua.

But that is just my opinion.

OK... time for my two cents...

I personally see nothing wrong with posting pics of women...as long as it is relatively tasteful, and not showing "complete" nudity. The reason I even suggest that ANY line be drawn.. is the legality. I would hate to see FH fined, or shut down simply because peeps got carried away...

That said.. I think most sigs and avs that have been used should be acceptable... so the honor system should work... as long as we use good judgement, there is no reason why we can't police ourselves as we have been.

A size limit may not be a bad idea though...

Well, say what you want to. But this is a message board about football. This isn't some immature little boy message board about who's got the best picture of some woman that wouldn't even recognize their existance.

Again, if thats what people want then thats fine. But then this place becomes less about the Dolphins and more about something that 1000000 other message boards are doing.

If it's voted that its ok, then make them have size requirements. I like this board and I'd rather not have to go elsewhere to talk about the Miami Dolphins.
