Actually Waanstedt (pronounced Von Stumped) is Dutch for 'big puss'!

hey man I think that language is getting to be a little to much there. While we are getting tired of hearing the same things over and over again there is no need for that kind of language and I would a prreciate it if you would stop using it.outtawack311 said:We might agree, but do we really have to hear it every 5 god damn seconds. It gets annoying after a while. The 2 constants on this board were always Jay bashing and Wanny Bashing. JUST SHUT UP ALREADY, WE KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY!!!

Randy Mcmichael was dropping passes and generally playing sloppy in practice yesterday. Does Wanny or any of his coaches hold him accountable, get in his grill, etc? Answer: NO. He did nothing. Can you imagine Shula doing nothing when A talented player is underperforming? Shoot, even Wanny's mentor J.J. would have been all over him.
Then he wonders why we get too many penalties and lose focus in critical situations, like Mcmichael missing his assignment last year against N.E. that resulted in the big sack/fumble that changed the game.
Belichick sends guys on a lap whenever they screw up. Just the other day, he sent "Big Cat" Williams on a lap for jumping offsides. The funny thing is, the crowd was cheering him as he passed by the stands (I was there). They were clueless.Randy Mcmichael was dropping passes and generally playing sloppy in practice yesterday. I completely disagree. Its all about accountablility. If a player isnt concentrating then you let him know that his mistakes are not going unnoticed. Maybe not drill sergent style but you definately let him know he isnt pulling his weight and that there are consequences for not trying hard enough. And, if all a player can handle is a pat on the back then cut him...because eventually he'll end up failing drug tests and quit in the middle of his contract.DOLFANMIKE said:When your job is football and you practice nearly everyday, you will have some off practices. If you coach jumps in your face everytime you do, you lose respect for him in that regard, as it's not possible for most players to practice perfect everyday.
It's amazing to me that you think that Wanny jumping in McMike's grill would make him a better coach. Half these players are so immature that they can't handle anythnig other than a pat on the back. They do not live in the real world and most of them do not have the mental toughness you'd think they have.
Wanny will appear to be a much better coach when our players start making the routine plays at their position.
Actually, G-D is more offensive to some people than F**K or motherf***er. But I agree that none of them have a place on this board.outtawack311 said:I didnt say anything wrong, all I said was God Damned. God Damned isnt that bad. At least I didn't make my joke about Jesus sucking at hockey because he always gets nailed to the boards.
That might have been overboard, maybe..
I dont think he ever started coaching.Al13 said:leave coach W alone he is just coaching this year he will be allright
You could also let him continue to screw up until the second preseason game and then tell him that Lee is starting. See if that wakes him up.yankeehillbilly said:I completely disagree. I have to say this is very well said and I agree 110%... post of the year... The key is the last line: "when our players start making the routine plays at their position." (Wanny will look much better).. And those players I assume you mean more on the offensive side of the ball: o-line and d-thompson and *cough* the qb position..DOLFANMIKE said:When your job is football and you practice nearly everyday, you will have some off practices.
