Was at morning practice 8/6; My Observations

odrick sounding like a beast pass rusher...maybe he can be our randy starks of last year...although 7 sacks for a rookie 3-4 end seems like a tough thing to accomplish...

Thanks man I appreciate it. I just enjoy doing a fan write up for all of the fans that can't make it out to camp. It was hotter than hell and my face is burnt to a crisp, but it was worth it. And hopefully I'll be getting paid for doing this sooner rather than later lol. It might not come until 8 or 9 tonight, but I will do the same thing tonight.

No. Thank you. All you guys in South Florida deserve major props for keeping the rest us in the loop.

Its not like we are going to get accurate info from the Sanchize & Brady fan club aka ESPN.
:buttkiss:

Part of me is not looking forward to the upcoming season; Here, in the Mtn Time Zone, it'll be nothing but T-bo and the donkeys. :hsmash:

i wonder if langford will step up his pass rush too

He's not really a hot ticket name though. We do keep hearing about generalized pressure coming from the DL and especially in those pit battles. I'd be surprised if Langford wasn't in on them.

odrick on college tape you can see the initial quickness and gap penetration plus the explosive powerful hands...i'm not surprised to hear he's shooting gaps and making plays in the backfield...it's the run d that concerns me...gonna watch him hard in the preseason games in that regard...

yeah...maybe he is...i just hadn't seen his name specifically called out for pressure...

Yeah I considered him a pass rush specialist. To the point where I honestly consider the Dolphins to have replaced Jason Taylor with Jared Odrick. They may play different spots but you're subtracting one pass rush presence and replacing it with another.

You never hear for instance Yeremiah Bell talked about in these reports, but I'm sure that's not because he looks ordinary.

just from what we're hearing we may have our own version of richard seymour...god that would be awesome...seymour also could shoot gaps in the run game and blow up run plays and odrick did that a plenty at penn state...i think odrick with his initial quickness and hands is gonna give olineman fits...once he gets his shoulders square to the ball carrier it's over and he can run things down down the los as well...it's when they run directly at him that i want to see how he holds up...at the poa

but these reports from camp have me expecting big things...

Bell and Clemons will be an effective blitzing safety duo provided Clemons starts. On the tape from Clemson when Clemons did blitz, he got there in a hurry and is able to shed blocks especially by RBs. Bell has that short area burst that allows him to get to the QB in the hurry as well. All of our secondary players are effective blitzers, even Smith. Although he does look kind of awkward when he blitzes. I think it was the Alabama game, but Smith had a GREAT blitz causing a FF.

It sounds like White is slowly starting to pick up on things, hopefully that continues.
