Was Jordan

Miss. When you can't figure out where to play the 3 pick it's a miss

I don't see how you can look at all the holes we had on draft day and not call Jordan a miss! Trading up to 3 for a guy rehabbing a shoulder injury, that you knew was a project player? That's a bad gm anyway you cut it! You don't sacrifice the present for a maybe in the future!

Just shows u that Ireland doesn't have to worry about his job he can do whatever he want and go 7-9 every damn year and he has a job

I think he'll be a stud for us. Just got to keep him healthy and use him the right way

Has he ever been healthy and if so has he ever been a full time player. I think he has never been any more than a part time player either way

It's too early to tell but that's not what you want from a player you take at #3, specially when it also costed you an extra 2nd. Hretty much was/is a project. Time will tell with him but moving up for a guy that was hurt in college and is a project is not what you normaly want in that spot. Yes, you do want a playmaker at that spot butwe don't know if he'll ever be that since we don't even know what's the best position for him. Maybe his best psition would be as an OLB on a 3-4 defense but of course we play a 4-3.

Ozzy rules!!

Jordan will be a Stud dude. Every time he was in there, it seemed something positive would happen. Like making plays...
For some reason the Brain Trust behind the Dolphins never knows how to use the Talent we got, or does better elsewhere...

The same people with optimism are the same hoping for Jeff Ireland to stay. HE WAS A #3 PICK!!! He should have started day one and played almost every snap no matter the type of play that was called. #3 pick guys not #300

Clearly a massive bust, as far as contributing in 2013. Whether that was due to injury or due to the coaching staff, neither absolves Ireland from the mistake. You don't draft an injured player #3 overall. Especially after you traded assets to acquire him. That is just a terrible move. I really hope that Jordan develops and becomes a star, but who knows at this point. What really makes the Jordan pick seem even worse is that Jamar Taylor, Will Davis, and Dallas Thomas were even worse than Dion Jordan. A simply abysmal draft.

Jake Long, Vontae Davis, Sean Smith, Pat White, Chad Henne, Phillip Merling, Jonathan Martin....first and second round picks not contributing to the Miami Dolphins today. How can Ireland stick around to ruin another draft?

A miss this year (and obviously has lots of bust potential) but he's still an athletic freak with lots of potential. You can never definitively call someone a bust until you're at least three years in.

a hit or miss at three this year?

Considering he plays a position that we were strong at going into the draft, and that he couldn't break into the starting lineup, and that by picking him there we ignored other areas of real need that might have made a difference in the outcome of the season, I can't see describing it as anything but a miss ...for this season anyway. The possibility remains that it may work out otherwise as years go by, but for now, it's a miss by a mile.

Doesn`t make sense the overall 3rd pick of the draft barely smells the field given the fact our D is far from elite

He is either injured, has a high probability of getting injured, or is a severe liability on the field
I just don`t buy the fact that he is being brought along slowly or being eased in

Of course if you are the one or ones responsible for this draft disaster you essentially shut him down this
season & hope, if you are around, that down the road something could be salvaged

I have a feeling this pick is going to end up like my alum Pat White.......... not good!!

It's funny, come draft time everybody preaches how we need to go for the best player available. The strong consensus is that it takes several years to evaluate and only after they retire do we truly know. Then comes draft day and half the people want to draft for need. Then at the end of the season everyone suddenly knows definitively how good everyone is and the best picks are obvious and everyone predicted thwm.

For me, he is a Dolphin now and I have seen flashes of ridiculous burst and wonderful wingspan. He seems like a good building block in this new NFL with mobile QB'S and multiple look defenses. If you have an opinion there is a thread linked in my signature discussing it.. That seems like a good play to say your peace on it.
