Watson was 4 settlements away from becoming a Dolphin. Interesting Quick read...

I'm glad the New York Times provided this report as it gives further information on the situation. However, my problem is WHY did it take so long to report? This has been going on for a over a year now correct? Is someone preparing to launch a book for sale? I don't know about you, but I'm tired of these reporters, employees, political staffers, etc. who have very important information in the public interest who withhold information on purpose so it can be included in books to sell at a later date, specifically when this is data that exposes crimes and/or redeems someone who is under suspicion of wrong-doing.

Also, the Browns must have found out these details in when vetting Watson. If true, another shameful act from the Browns organization.

Where's Delvin?

Anywho...guys a dirt bag. No way in hell I'd want this clown as a face for the Dolphins!

LMAOOOOO!!! Deshaun the Lint Licker!!!

Watson is entitled to his due process, is innocent until proven guilty, and the grand jury didn't indict.
With that said, the sworn allegations are concerning to say the least.
I just can't wrap my head around an organization going all in on this guy.
Whether by circumstance or a decision i'm glad we did not.
Actually the NFL has set a precedent (Big Ben) that they suspend you before you ever have your day in court.

Apparently Watson was not totally honest with the Browns during the vetting process.

We ain't perfect as a team and some of our guys have had off field issues but Watson is taking the cake on this.

Now, they are about to add the Houston Texans as a defendant in the lawsuit

Well, just asking Watson would not be properly vetting him. Vetting him would have been verifying his statements are correct. You know, get up off your butt and hire a high-quality private investigator to investigate this whole situation. It would cost you at least $500,000 I'm sure, but it seems like a no-brainer considering they guaranteed the guy over $200 million.

No one is going to feel sorry for DW the Browns or the NFL

If anyone actually thinks the Browns did not do an incredibly extensive amount of private investigation into this situation they are kidding themselves. I would imagine they think they know more than anyone else about Watson's situation. So, either this is egregious negligence on the part of the Browns, or they are prepared for whatever decision is looming for Watson and felt the risk was worth it.
