We Need Jimmy G

Stetson Bennett to me is the most polished QB in this draft, go get him if possible/

Why would you get a QB that will just be your backup any way instead of focusing on things on the team that matter, like secondary (Corner to be more accurate), I-LB, Tackle, powerback, Center/Guard.

Taking a QB early that will just be a backup is a luxury pick that Miami can't afford to make. If Stetson falls past the 4th round, then why not.

Imma minshew fan
Why? Is it:
(a) the low pass completion percentage? (Granted, 62.2% is much better than Tim Tebow 47.9%)
(b) the 1980's gay pornstar mustache and the incredible swivel hips?
(c) you grew up in Flowood,Mississippi and know his Aunt Betty? (Maybe you are Aunt Betty)
(d) he used to live in an RV?
(e) all of the above.

It's a stupid thread but I can't resist posting it. Now we NEED a QB that has a terrible injury record and a mediocre skill set to back up. Feels like we've just been down that road with Teddy. My personal choice for the role would be Minshew but we got to realise that if Tua goes down again next season we are going to see a significant drop off, whomever we pick up to be the clipboard holder.

I know it's been said before, but here I go: Brady was a 6th and, not comparing to Brady, but Purdy was a 7th. I agree after 4th round however on Stetson.

I recall that criminal cheap shot that injured our star QB. It was done with malice in an effort to put him out of the game. It did worse than that, potentially much more but I pray not. You are so right about if it were Brady there would have been a Federal Indictment!! It's so hard to know about the brain and near impossible to predict how Tua's health will be going forward. One good idea is to keep building that offensive line with massive, talented players to protect QB and keep building the running game and get a TE that fits this scheme, sorry that was 3 ideas!! If the team does everything in it's power to keep him safe and somehow teaches him how to fall that would be great. I just want Tua to play great and be healthy from now on. That's what I am hoping for along with everyone else. If able we should hedge our bet in the draft by drafting a QB and grab a vet to back up Tua, Mariotta?
Yup - totally agree on the cheap shot. Not even a flag. His Samoan brother my ass. Tua will learn...all he has to do is work on it. Absolutely Mariotta is my choice for backup - a perfect fit in every way.
