We should trade Feeley

boon said:
Feeley had Chambers,Booker,Derius,Mcmichael and #2 pass defense on nfl
Started 8 games 1893 passing yards 11Tds 15 Ints 53% pass completion

Brian Griese had no o-line, no running game, 3 Wr's that were new to the team and no tight end and and #1 pass defense
Griese started 10 games had 2632 yards passing 20 tds 12 ints 69% pass completion plus Gruden has one of the most complicated offenses in the NFL.

Griese adapts to bad situations he has a quick release Feeley takes too long to make decisions.

And Feeley did?!?!?!?!!?!?:roflmao: .......Man get that weak @** argument out of here!!!!

Gus will start this year.Saben is not big on Feeley. We should trade the 3rd stringer QB Feeley who didnt beat out Detmer in philly. Its a bad trade .They happen.Maybe we can get a 3 round pick for him and move on.Draft Alex Smith.Start Gus.Dont tell me give A.J a chance ..We did already.David Carr in his rookie year got sacked the most ever in the game, and didnt panic in the pocket.A.J panics in the pocket period.Cant teach being scared in the NFL.The way i see it.A.J didnt beat out Detmer. He had trouble beating out Fielder.I think Gus is a little better then both.Dont get me wrong they all suck.Thats why we take Alex Smith in the draft.

King...Feeley never HAD a pocket to get antsy in, in the first place...he did not get a legit shot from Wanny, that has been shown over and over again in different threads. Reid himself, said that AJ would be the multi-game replacement for McNabb. Detmer was the holder for Akers, and thus he was the 2nd QB so that he could still be used if needed to hold...after the first game, AJ would be the starter and Detmer the 2nd guy...read some old posts..this has been shown over and over again...

All that said...we really DO NOT know about AJ just yet...But he will have a short string and if he can't handle it, Gus will be in there and we'll be looking for an AJ replacement...For sure he won't be strung along year after year like Ears was...

I dont think that AJ will get another chance to start as a Fin. I dont think that AJ is going to be able to beat out Gus for the starting job this year. By the end of this year the Rookie will be ready to start. So I'm not really sure that unless Gus gets hurt Feeley ever starts as a Fin again.

Kerry Collins was on pace to pass for over 4000 yards if he had started the whole season and they had bad defense, lost Jerry Rice and Tim Brown and had worst rushing game in NFL. If Collins had a defense like the Dolphins they wud of won more games.

Even Jeff Garcia had a better season than Feeley
Browns r probably worst team in NFL they have horrible defense and absolutly NO offensive weapons except Kellen Winslow and he got hurt and out of season.
Despite all the obstacles in his way Jeff Garcia still managed 1732 Passing yards 10 tds 9 ints 57% pass completion. Again imagine if Garcia had weapons like Chambers,Booker,Mcmichael,Derrius and a Defense like Dolphins.

Ill give Feeley the benefit of the doubt and assume Wanny didnt give him a chance and let him battle it out with Gus thought mini camps and preseason.
Otherwise we might be in a similar situation like Redskins and Lions.

I don't know what's scarier, that it seems some one opened the loony bin and let out all the nuts or that your hailing one of them. :shakeno:

What is up with this board lately?

Hey Canadianfishfan, don't waste your typing skills on these guys, they just don't get it, these people only watch the QB, they don't watch the OL play and actually see what happened.
I'm not saying AJ isn't to blame for some of the mistakes but with some of these biased fans would have you beleive he's the sole cause.

No matter how many times you write it, they have their narrow opinion on it.

I was hailing him for being all knowing. You know he watches ALOT of football. :lol2:

Yeah I got it a few minutes after I posted. :cooldude:

What is up with you people who are comparing Garcia and Griese to Feeley? The only common ground there is that they all started (at some point) on new teams last year.
Both Garcia and Griese have alot more experience as starters than Feeley. There is an awful lot you don't learn until/unless you play.

I can't wait for this season to start......

Feeley is gonna have a break out year a la 'Favre' and all you doubters will be swinging on his *You know what's*.

lol, way to stay positive.

I think the a la "Farve" is out of the realm of possibility though.

NAME ATT. CMP. YDS. PCT. TD INT LG SACK RATING
Feeley 356 191 1893 53.7 11 15 38 23/136 61.7 Thats better than Garcia.

So I take it you're just a casual fan.

Just to remind you in case you forgot, like 2 years (2003) ago. This was Griese behind that Dolphin OL and with, Chambers, Mc Mike, D Thomson, and they had one of the Top Defenses against the run.

G GS Att Comp Pct Yards YPA Lg TD Int Tkld 20+ 40+ Rate
5 5 130 74 56.9 813 6.25 80 5 6 12/83 7 3 69.2

It's the players and the system in Tampa that has helped Griese, maybe you can see that now. Let's wait and see what develops this year.

NO QB WOULD'VE BEEN SUCCESSFUL BEHIND OUR LINE LAST YEAR!!!!!!
Would people stop crapping on feeley for last year misery. Players didnt show up on both sides of the ball. With better COACHING, and a few upgrades... we'll make PROGRESS this year.... not win a SB.
Although some may not believe it.. Feeley is likely the best QB on the squad.... NO not in the NFL... but that WE have. There isnt many better options. Drafting a college QB is a crap shoot... and everyone knows it... Be PATIENT... perhaps WAITING for a better player.. is not necessarily a bad thing. Cripes! RELAX!

I second that.
