We will finish last in the east !!!

It's sad when a poster can't give his assessment without getting creamed. If his opinion of the team is what he has it at, then that's his opinion, you can disagree with the guy, but to call him names, saying he's not a fan is rediculous, where did we get some of you anyway? We used to be able to debate on this board without stupping so low, did we pick up some of the posters we've heard about at other phin boards? Go back. We want real fans who can disagree with respect..I've read a couple of these threads and have been silent, but this is getting out of hand and uncalled for. No wonder some of the good posters are checking in and out, but don't post. We should be able to look at our team as fans and also be objective in our assessments, that's the true value of having a board to talk phin football, pros and cons...when we have to just talk all pros and close our minds to the cons, then we cease being fans, just stupid, blind followers, with nothing to say. This board's strength has always been it's ability to debate our strenght and weaknesses on this team and to debate other team's fan within that context.

I agree......... if someone has a negative point of view why not debate them? Instead it seems more peoples emotions (calling names, flaming, etc) get involved and all they want to hear is the "potential" positives of their team instead of trying to look @ it objectively.

The flaming and blind followers on this board is getting to the point of laughability.

It is sad when the really good posters here get drowned out by those who can't bear to DISCUSS football. Ad Hominem attacks are for those with nothing to say.

We are marching straight to the SB..Just watch..We are going to dominate.. It's going to get to a point where it's laughable because of how bad we are going to lay a can of whoop *** in the Entire NFL.. Mark My words..By the way I signed my waiver too..

You're right.....we couldn't stop Ricky.....but for some reason we seem to win the games in spite of him :D

As for Brown, I don't blame ya for being high on him.....I think he will do well also.

I agree with this. Most people on this site are Dolfans, and the one's who aren't are very easily recognized. Last year the team was horrible, and I see people say the team is closer to the 2003 team than went 10-6 than the team that went 4-12 last year. This maybe true, but I believe the Afc is much better right now than it was in 2003, and I don't think the team is better than the 2003 team. While mentioning this that team did not make the playoffs, so why compare them? People try to argue a point that this team will make the playoffs because they're closer to a team that didn't make the playoffs? I don't attack posters, and I think attacking fans who you probably have never met, is even worse. I'll debate with anyone, but I don't think the Phins are a playoff team. Does that make me less of a fan? I'll still root for the Phins to win every game. I look at it this way, as a fan of a team coming off of a 4-12 year, whose had a good offseason, IMO, I think the team can possibly double there win total, if someone thinks thats not a major improvement in the right direction for a team under a 1st time NFL head coach, and with a guy whose yet to play a down in the league in Ronnie Brown, who I believe HAS to turn into the "face of the franchise," than I think they're crazy. Anything can happen teams can go from worst to first in this league, but there are no easy games in the Afc East, even the Phins in a terrible year played teams tough. Everybody wants to be optimistic, but sometimes that makes them blind to realism.

1999 Rams...before you dog me I think they had to go with a "scrub" QB that year as well. Thanks to an injury to Green in pre season. Besides after the hell we had to endure last summer let alone the regular season you will forgive us if we are a little bit giddy with excitement. If for no other reason than just getting a fresh start. Besides we are due some breaks this year, heck after last year we are due some good breaks this decade!

captain lou... why dont you just come out and say your a Bills, Jets, or Pats fan in disguise. Why would you even make a post like this. I guarantee we finish ahead of at the very least the Bills in our division. Too much potential on our team with such names as Brown, RW, JT, ZT, McMichael, Boston, and I almost forgot, Chambers. Sure we may have a few weaknesses but what team doesn't. If your going to make posts like this one again, do it in your real teams forum, not ours.

If you rip on someone for stating their opinion, rather than debating, and bringing up a legitimate arguement, perhaps you're the one who should not be making posts.

I don't blame you for being excited and optimistic about the upcoming season......if I was a fan of the Fins I would be too.

It's the emotional flaming of anyone that posts something negative about the Fins instead of actually having a discussion on their points gets annoying. I don't know how many times I've read that if someone posts a comment in the negative light of the Fins, they get flamed anything from not being a "real" fan or being a Bills fan in disguise (and told to get lost and go to another board).

Ya know what's funny about this, is that normally alot of uninformed posters, would come on and rip you and get off subject, about Losman, being terrible. Everybody is excited about there respected team, but I think the people who are looking for a quick turnaround, will probably be the same people calling for a Qb switch after each game, when either Gus or AJ struggle.

I think this team will be much improved but I doubt it will be enough to climb out of the cellar. We have toughest schedule for one. I think too many people are expecting that Hudson Hauck can turn our bumbs into great o lineman (fairytale # 1) Secondly, we have major issues in the secondary. Once again many people think we wont feel the absense of Surtain (fairytale # 2). I think most of you forget we were 31st against the run last year. Some people think Carter and our cast of has beens, never weres, and a rookie will make us a force upfront (fairytale # 3). This is not to mention our problems are qb, and our issues with McMicheal. I think it is irresponsible to be expecting a winning season. These problems will not magically go away. I think saban will be a great coach but these aren't his players and he cant make them more talented than they are.

You make good points now lets look at the rest of the division
1. Buffalo
-rookie qb
-Missing the big man on the D-line leads to less production on stopping the run
- O-line problems

2. N.Y Jets
- Starting quarterback is injury prone
- Backup quarterback is Jay Fiedler
- Curtis Martin will not have the season he did last year

3. New England Patriots
- Offensive and Defensive Co-ordinator are gone
- Heart and soul of there defense is Bruschi and he is gone
- There losing key veterans Example Ty Law and Bruschi as i already mentioned

My point is were not the only one with problems and if HH can do a decent job of repairing the O-line and our running game is much better and our D-line might not be as great as everyone is making it out to be especially in the middle but there still improved from last year.

i think the jets finish last in the east
call me crazy, maybe 7 or 8 wins for them
