I live in CT (not far from Pats-ville). Why do people around the country think it is like in the 60's up here??? Not.

Let me tell you, it is FRIGGIN HOT and HUMID here this week. 90 degrees and VERY humid today. Upper 80's and more humidity the rest of the week.

Yep, perfect time for the weather to get like that in New England....NOT. This is just giving the Pats the opportunity to practice in this all week. And knowing Bellicheese, he is making them all practice in Black Sweaters.

Don't worry about it. Mass is cooler than CT and neither comes close to South Florida heat.

While I appreciate the information there is no substitute for Florida humidity. No matter how hot and humid it might feel up north there is no comparison to this area.

Agree it isn't the same KIND of heat/humidity...... but like i already said, it is certainly NOT a night and day difference.

I live in CT too but was in Florida last week. It's been hot here, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was in Florida. Heat index down there was 105+ and it's even more humid. Unbearable heat. Had to plan our days around finding A/C and avoiding being outside in the afternoon. Can't imagine playing football in pads and uni's in that type of weather.

Hopefully it's helps us in the second half if we can keep it close.

That's right around the time I start my yard work. About 2pm. I love Florida weather!

I lived in Philly for a years while in school and it was just as hot up there in the Summer. Urban areas seem to get very hot an humid no matter where you are. I'm not sure the heat is a big advantage for us for a team coming from the northeast. I will say that while I was in Colorado last week, it was a cool 50 degrees at night....so it is cold in some places and that might matter.

OP is correct. I hope the hell Philbin doesn't have his team practicing in the air conditioned bubble all week like a bunch of wusses. Because if thats the case its possible the Patriots may be even more prepared for the humidity than the Dolphins.

dolphins have practiced 20 of their 22 practices outside.

I live in Orlando, Florida. When I goto Miami the difference in temp (humidity) kills me and it takes far longer than a week to get use to it. You can't prepare for Miami heat, except to practice in it.

I agree it is not a night and day difference, it's MUCH worse. I live in NC and it often gets into the triple digits, but when I travel to Miami, which used to be quite often, it was more than I could handle. A walk across the parking lot from my car to a restaurant would end with me looking like I had just finished a ALS water challenge. If you really think Boston has weather any where close to Miami, would be like saying those in Miami are used to the weather in Boston in January. It just isn't the same, no where near.

It's been one of the most mile summers that I can ever remember up here in NE. If you think 3 or 4 days of the Pats practicing in this heat is going to prepare them for Miami end of summer weather, you're way off base. Before this week there had only been 3 90 degree days in Boston.

Not sure about Connecticut, but I've lived in New York for 4 years after being raised in Florida and the humidity does not come close to Florida humidity. Not even close. And even if you are going through a week of "hot and humid" weather, that's just a week of it and wouldn't matter much after spending a whole training camp in it. This is a silly thread.
