I live in SOFL and am used to it. I don't sweat much, but i recently played paintball around 1:30 or 2, I was completely gassed after about 30 - 45 mins, and I live and grew up in this weather. I couldn't imagine wearing pads and running around in this for 2 hours.
The only thing I've ever felt was comparable to this weather was when I went to Vegas. It was over 100 degrees and was completely dry, it felt like I was being suffocated while walking down the street. Nothing up north can hold a candle to the weather down here.
I live in Orlando, Florida. When I goto Miami the difference in temp (humidity) kills me and it takes far longer than a week to get use to it. You can't prepare for Miami heat, except to practice in it.
I posted statistics a while ago disproving any notional that the Dolphins have a home field advantage in September. Over the past decade we've only won about 25 percent or something of our September home games so I'm not really sure where this whole, home field advantage in the summer, discussion comes from but it's a fact the Dolphins have no home field advantage in the summer.I live in CT (not far from Pats-ville). Why do people around the country think it is like in the 60's up here??? Not.
Let me tell you, it is FRIGGIN HOT and HUMID here this week. 90 degrees and VERY humid today. Upper 80's and more humidity the rest of the week.
Yep, perfect time for the weather to get like that in New England....NOT. This is just giving the Pats the opportunity to practice in this all week. And knowing Bellicheese, he is making them all practice in Black Sweaters.
You guys forgot two years ago on opening night when we were the ones gasping for air in the heat?
Agree it isn't the same KIND of heat/humidity...... but like i already said, it is certainly NOT a night and day difference.
