I Agree with this Thread, but.....
there is a different way to say it. First, Nick Saban has done a terrific job assembling the best possible coaching staff, draft, and free agency that we could ever expect.
Secondly, it is very, very obvious that Dave Wannstedt and Rick Spielman ran this franchise into the ground. They did a terrible job and it is more apparent than ever. Saban inherited a mess.
Thirdly, what's wrong with saying we'll lose a lot of games this year. We are a better team than last year and realistically we are not a playoff team, there simply isn't enough talent. If we don't go to the playoffs, it really doesn't matter how many games we win. In fact, losing more games is a good thing in that case.
Bottom line - this team is much improved, Saban has done a terrific job, and we will get better. It will simply take time and if you think this team is going to successful this year, you are probably setting yourself up for disappointment. I would rather be pleasantly surprised myself.
