That's the point about the coaching. When you have a Griese or an AJ or even a Frerotte you either better give them a good offensive line (gus in minny) or a qb friendly system (griese in tb). when these guys come in and try to run a vertical passing game where the receivers take long routes to run and couple that with an offensive line that's modeled after swiss cheese it doesnt work. The best thing Saban can do this year is run slants for the first half of the year until Houck hopefully can get our boys to give the QB some protection. I think the vertical game is dead until our qbs' get time

Thank you...With all honesty, I see AJ coming in somewhere in the season and taking over the helm...iunno why, but I have the feeling it will happen.
 
You think we have a chance to beat any of our first three opponents? Broncs, Jets, Panthers. For some reason I think the Jets are our best chance
 
Broncos will be the first game Saban can start pulling plays out of the book which may give us the surprise advantage just enough to win it....just a thought...

I wouldve agreed if he hadnt been demoted to third but Saban is weird in trying to figure out. With any other coach the writing would be on the wall but with Saban if Feeley is kept on I could see that happening. He is one tough SOB to figure out
 
Lol....you'll probably see all three play at some point in time this season....

If our o-line can protect and give the QB just enough time(aka keep Peppers away from the QB), then we should win that game...as long as our Defense doesn't all of sudden fall into stupid pentalies and stuff like that.

As far as the Jets go, no clue on that one man, their front line is looking beasty and could very well have a field day on our o-line. I guess everything comes down to the o-line and the QB decision making. If we can manange to put atleast 21 to 24 points on the board, our Defense should be able to hold Chad and Coles to limited plays(I say Coles because we all know he is Chad's main man and he will be the first guy Chad tries to give the ball to)....C.Martin ain't doing nothing on our d-line..may get like 50 to 60yards, but will have to do in small amounts of yards and a lot of carries.

i think if we beat the browncos its going to have to be playcalling because man to man we are seriously outmatched. Their defensive line got a lot better from the reports out of training camp and preseason. Engelberger, Brown and Warren have been tearing it up
