I would like to see you say that in Huizenga's face. He'll kill you and get the mob to bury you in his Waste Management
ITs exactly what I'd do. Its more a matter of timing with an early TC date. He's a RB not a QB. So a few extra days off isn't going to stunt any development.23Ronnie23 said:I agree he should go to camp but you can't blame him for wanting to get paid. What would you do?
PhinsPhan said:The thing is everyone on this board is ripping into brown now. I am not happy about his cap or what he wants but lets face it, what woudl you do? Its anyones job to get as much money as possible. Is he jsut going to accept less money because the fans want him too? I wouldnt. It just pisses me off that this is now the norm. So I wouldnt go blaming Ronnie for that.
On a side note this could turn into a funny Rivers, Brees situation. If Ricky really does run like he used to I think it woudl be hard to justify starting Brown over him. Then we have a guy making 8 million on the bench with Ricky being untradeable because no one will touch him.

Many of these billionaires "yucking it up" who you seem to think take no risks to be where they are is laughable. You have any idea what it takes to reach the level they have attained in business? Not a clue I'm sure. You have no idea about risk my friend.![]()
Philter25 said:If you want to blame anyone, Blame the 49ers. They gave a freakin 20% raise to Tom Condon and Alex Smith. If they didnt do that and gave the standard percentage raise, we wouldnt be having this thread right now. Tom Condon basically screwed up the pay for the top 10 draft picks this year and I cant imagine what the top pick in next years draft will be. I think the CBA expires in 2006, I pray to god they do something about the rookie salaries because right now its getting ridiculous.

Superself said:Maybe your definition of risk is totally different from mine. I know what risk is. IMO it has more to do with dying than losing a buck or two.
Maybe if you worship the dollar, you may think what "some" did was risky.

I took nothing out of text.
First off, it's the business leaders of the world that create the economy that allow athletes to be paid to play a GAME.
Secondly, you brought up the money aspect painting owners as men who just roll around in money without taking any thought into what it takes to get to that position. Risking money is a big deal and if you got off your butt and ever tried to start your own business you'd feel what stress and risk is. I don't worship money but you and I both know that money is what allows you to live life the way you'd want to live it. We are BOTH discussing money right now so don't make it out that you above the subject of money.
I'm sorry, I thought we were talking about football players not policeman, fireman, costruction workers or soldiers. Classic! :shakeno:
Being called dumb from you somehow seems like a compliment. :D

The truth is no one on this board really cares about Ronnie, his family or his finances, Just his physical talent. So let him worry about the above and we'll worry about his performance when the time comes.
