What Fins are getting with Moreno from Barry Jackson

50 years from now, dolphins fans will remember 2 names, M&M... Marino and Moreno. Marino for his years of elite passing and Moreno for his 2014 performance in which he ran for 1500 yards, 600 yards receiving and 14 tds... Leading miami to its first superbowl in 40 years.

I can dream right?

this from another article:

“Knowshon is a very versatile back,” said retired receiver Dave Logan, who does the radio play-by-play for Broncos games. “He runs with great leverage. He’s got toughness to him. And he’s really very, very good at blitz pickup.”

That final skill might be the most important for the Dolphins, who allowed a franchise-record 58 sacks in 2013. Of those, five were the fault of the running backs, according to the scouting service Pro Football Focus. Moreno, meanwhile, allowed just one in 19 regular-season and playoff games.

I think that was a big selling point for our staff.

I think people are setting themselves up for possible disappointment. Who was that back in the late 80s early 90s who came from DEN and did not live up to expectations? Sammy Smith? For a one year flier, its not a bad deal. Buy I don't believe he will be a clear upgrade. If their is a clear upgrade, it will be from the offensive line.

Bobby Humphrey

I'm not so sure he is going to replace Thomas as the 2nd string back. I think with his catching ability, pass blocking skills, low fumbles and ability to punch the ball into the end zone he is the better every down back than Miller. I can see Miller coming in to spell Moreno and bring the home-run threat against a tired defense.

fishfanmiami, you need to post more so that sig comes up more often.

I believe that Moreno is going to be runner 1a and Miller will be runner 1b and honestly I think that is a pretty effective 1,2 punch and there is no dead giveaway on what the team is calling when either one is in the game. Swap them out to keep them fresh and work on Miller's blitz pickup this offseason. Those 2 and an improved offensive line, more creative play calling, a healed up Brandon Gibson and another season under the belt for Tanny and there is every reason for optimism this year. Go Fins!

Good 1 year signing at an affordable price. Having said that if a good RB falls to our pick in the third round like Mason then phins better be ready to draft them.
