Lets just say the dolphins go 8-8 next season and Feely has 20 tds and 20 ints. Thats a decent season but it isnt anything special. Do we draft a QB do we get a starting veteran or do we wait another season to see what he can do? how many seasons should we wait for him to develope?

I don't think 20 TDs and 20 INts would be decent....30 TD's and 18 INt's maybe, but I have a feeling Gus is gonna start and Feeley won't have a chance. Seems like Saban likes that Gus knows the system already. I think if we have another 4 win season look for us to look for another QB, but if we go 8-8 than I think Feeley and Gus will stick around.

If we go 8 - 8 and he throws 20 tds and 20 ints, we still draft a QB in the first round, Nick Saban is going to want to bring in his own guy to run his team, The only way AJ Feeley stays at quarterback is if he has a pro bowl type year and I think this is fair because he has the weapons and should have the protection now so there are no exscuses this year.

I think he needs to have an above average season to stick around. If he does not win the starting job he's definately gone IMO. Gus I think has a good chance of being on the roster next season if a Qb is drafted to either hold the position till the QB is ready or be the backup.

I don't think he needs to have a pro bowl year. But I can't see average being good enough to extend his stay in Miami. He has the tools (WR's, RB's), it's time to show whether or not he can use them.

i think gus will win and start this year and next year, and maybe a little of the next while, one of the talented Qb's we will draft this year groom.

We can't really say that Saban likes Gus just from what we hear. Saban likes to have tons of smoke and mirrors. It didn't seem like he was interested in Brown, yet he picked him in the draft. There is no telling what is going through his head.

In that scenerio I think we would keep Feeley around another year but still draft a qb in the draft. Let Feeley have another year to improve, if not then trade his arse for a 3rd or 4th.

he'll be asked to take a pay cut or get released with that type of season imo. he's set to make top-line starter money next year, so he better play like a top-line starter this year.

I think that if he doesnt prove himself this year then we need to move on.Draft a rookie if theres any good ones on the board when we draft or sign a vet.A good vet not Gus Ferotte.

I wouldn't call 20 int's decent either. I'm hoping for better. That could be reason to draft a QB and let them all compete.

I agree with this.

If he has 20 ints he wont be here next year. Better yet if hes on that type of pace he wont make it through this season
