What happens if Feely has a decent season?

i wanna wait till Jamarcus Russel comes out to draft a qb...which could be in two years...so this year if carey dont pan out which i hope he does...get a LT and if he does pan out we can go DT

If one of these guys doesnt step forward I think he drafts a QB after the 1st round and signs Rohan Davey whos contract is up with the pats next year.

I don't think 20 TDs and 20 INts would be decent....30 TD's and 18 INt's maybe, but I have a feeling Gus is gonna start and Feeley won't have a chance. Seems like Saban likes that Gus knows the system already. I think if we have another 4 win season look for us to look for another QB, but if we go 8-8 than I think Feeley and Gus will stick around.

IMO i think 25 tds and 13 ints would be decent that would be pretty close to what he should get with the running game back and if or when this year he dont pan out i think we will go after brees (that is if he pans out this year) because our d isnt getting any younger but that is m.o.

20 and 20 isnt very good for a QB. If he is 20-25 with around 12-15 that would be better. I think if has a 25-12 season and go 8-8 we should still probably draft a Qb, but it doesnt have to be with our first pick. It also depends on his completion percentage and QB rating though.

plain and simple, decent season under new system, he stays because next year he will be used to the system and should improve alot, and if he doesnt improve then he would b gone, i should hope he has a little bit better then a decent season tho

Lets just say the dolphins go 8-8 next season and Feely has 20 tds and 20 ints. Thats a decent season but it isnt anything special. Do we draft a QB do we get a starting veteran or do we wait another season to see what he can do? how many seasons should we wait for him to develope?

Unless Feeley looks like the next Farve, then we will draft a QB.

I think Feeley will have to show consistant improvement week after week if we expect to keep him or draft another QB next year. We have to have young quarterback for our future and that doesn't mean Freotte, who I believe is just a safety net.

20 INT's isn't decent!

The bottom line is that none of the QB's on our current roster are starting caliber!

Saban will bring in a starter through the draft, trade or FA!

If we go 8 - 8 and he throws 20 tds and 20 ints, we still draft a QB in the first round, Nick Saban is going to want to bring in his own guy to run his team, The only way AJ Feeley stays at quarterback is if he has a pro bowl type year and I think this is fair because he has the weapons and should have the protection now so there are no exscuses this year.

We dont draft a QB in the first round if we are 8-8. Chances are, there are going to be no franchise QBs around when its time to draft.

20 INT's isnt a good season....

Thats not a decent season, throwing as many pics as touchdowns is not a good statistic.

It depends on whether or not we lost those eight games because of INT's.
As much as I want Feeley to pan out, I think we're drafting a QB soon. It's time to.

If the play blows up Feeley needs to recognize it early and throw the ball away. If he learns that it would be a huge step forward for him IMO. He also has to stop locking on recievers because that also leads to picks. If Houck works his magic then he'll have time to throw the ball and from what I saw last year on the rare occasions when he had time to set and throw he has good accuracy and velocity. If a running game is added to the equation along with some added weapons at reciever ( such as Boston and passing to Ronnie Brown out of the backfield ) A.J. will have his best chance to be effective and put up some good numbers. Linehans' offense will open things up in a big way but A.J. has to be smart and take care of the football.

No matter what Feeley does this season, Miami will be going after a QB to groom next year. If Feeley shocks the world, and has an amazing season, and proves to be a Good QB, then all that does is allow Miami to get a QB in the later rounds, if he sucks, then in round 1, the questions will be what QBs are there when we pick, and which one will Saban/Mueller jump on.

If Aaron Rodgers was taken 24th in a non-existent QB class, then there is no doubt in my mind there will be a good QB in the latter part of the first round in next year's draft.
