What is the difference between the Dolphins and Jets?

Unfortunately for you, you suck at smack talk about as much as your team sucks at football, as much as your wife sucks at my... oh daag there I go again getting my lady on the side in trouble.

Clearly you are good at it.

I'm happy that you can do this kind of stuff while you're at work...good that you have that freedom.
Now, on to your questions...
1. do you get tired of hearing how lucky the Jets were? No, because I believe it.
2. how sanchez sucks? I don't believe Sanchez sucks. I believe, at this moment he is very mediocre. In other words, extremely overrated. That's ok though, because he has a team to support mediocre qb performance.
3.how he had dropped INTs? That falls under "luck," but also has nothing to do with Sanchez, but more to do with the defense that he is playing against. Can't hold it against him...t's either an int, or not.
4.making 2 title games is a big deal - True, but not as much as you make it out to be. The end result of your season was still not what you wanted, which was a super bowl victory, just like us. People rarely remember who finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

again, i'm not "wasting" posts. I do contribute to discussions, just typically not Jets ones...for a few reasons. First, this is a Dolphins board (which for some reason, every conversation goes to the Jets), and second, the arguments typically turn in to something more relative of a bunch of monkeys humping a football, which is anything but "productive" conversation.

Good teams make their own luck, most teams play close games. The best teams find ways to pull them out, the other teams find ways to lose.

We needed some luck in 2009 but once we got it we took advantage, making back to back title games proves '09 wasn't a fluke.

Some of the Jets-dolphins threads turn south in a hurry b/c of posts like you made. I know that wasn't your intent but let's stick to the topic and just have fun debating. It helps each of us learn more about our rivals. All this stuff is fun, I love debating nonsense like football and believe it or not this is related to my work(not message bpards but the sports world)

I'm pretty sure if there was a vote they'd choose me to stay over you.

I don't doubt it, that's what's wrong with this place, but it doesn't matter, I just come back with a different user name til they get tired of banning me. Wouldn't be the first time. I come here to discuss Dolphins football with other Dolphins fans. You're just a piece of corny coated peanut poop to me son.

I can take anything that comes my way but you are wasting time and ruining threads w/ the childish insults. This was a pretty good thread until you got involved.

This thread had 2 stars before I ever entered it. :ponder: :chuckle:

Good threads involve Fins fans discussing differing opinions on our team. Not Jets fans whining about mistreatment on a Dolphins forum, and pounding his chest about how his team is better than ours in all aspects. Lol. You're delusional. I've seen a lot of good threads over the years. Not surprisingly you're not present.

There's a sub-forum for dicks like you. It's called The beasts of the AFC East.

You embarrass all dolphin fans. It's too bad you don't know enough about this game to have confidence in your opinions to debate me on football topics. I await more of that witty smack talk.

I've debated with you many times over the years nychump. I guess your memory there is not as good as your dolphins-negative statistical memory, shocking. After awhile you come to realize a troll is a troll. Same **** different thread.

For all your 19,000 posts I can sum up the subject of MOST quite simply.

"The Jets are better at [insert topic][insert biased logic/statistics etc.]"

"Fins fans are homers: Here's why."

"Stop making fun of my Jets."

Did I miss anything?

I really don't think the two teams are far apart. The biggest difference is that the Jets made plays and won the close games against teams they should have (Denver, Detroit, and Cleveland) While the Dolphins did not. (Buffalo, Detroit, Cleveland) Things could have easily gone a little different and the Jets would have been 8-8, and the Dolphins 11-5. It was the same story last year except the Jets benefited from teams letting them in the playoffs rather than them earning it.

People can say the Jets made the AFCC game 2 years in a row all you want, but I really believe that the Jets have really been lucky with facing the teams that they have, and getting crazy breaks in some of those games. I will give all the credit for the Jets beating NE, but as any Jet fan will tell a Dolphin fan, just becasue you beat a team does not mean that you are better than they are. It can just mean you match up well with them. :D

I think the difference is that the jets need to improve a little and the fins need to improve alot!

It's been said here a few times and I totally agree with it. The biggest difference between both teams have been the coaches of all three phases. Rex, for as annoying as he is, he has shown to be a great defensive coach that gets everything out of his players. Your Special Teams coach has a proven track record. While some of the Jets fans might get annoyed with their OC he has shown to put his offense in the best position as possible.

All that being said everything else between the teams is very similar. Outside of Reeves, there isn't a player on either team that has that much of a gap between team positions.

Now that we have a new OC, who seems to being doing well so far, we will see what happens for the season.

I don't think there is a huge gap talent wise. I think it starts at the top. We have a better owner, better GM and better HC & coahcing staff. Your owner is young in this game and hopefully for you guys will learn and he'll hire the right people after he gets rid of this regime soon.

Talent wise we hit on our QB, you guys haven't taken a shot w/ a 1st rd QB.

We have more drafted stars. We get headlines for FA pickups and trades but it starts w/ the draft. The jets philosphy has been quality over quantity, parcells/Ireland like a million picks and hope a few hit.

The biggest difference going into 2011? The coaching staffs. Switch the staffs and Miami is a title contender and the Jets a playoff contender. rex and his staff are that good.

Longterm the biggest difference has been from the top down, our Gm has been doing a good job since 2006. he knows how to draft talent(thank our staff of scouts for that), he knows how to work the cap and he knows how to acquire talent via trades/FA. Mike Tannenbaum would have upgraded the dolphins QB situation this offseason if he was your GM- he would have found a way.

Finally.... The voice of reason :hump:

This is true, to some extent.
The missed FGs in the Cinci game, though Graham has bounced around from team to team since that game; and Kaeding missed a FG in the San Diego game, though his playoff % is much lower than his regular season %. But, we were the victim of bad luck against the Colts, when Lito Sheppard and Donald Strickland (our #2 and #3 corners), as well as Greene (who was our lead back in the playoffs) went down with injuries.

This is false.
The only questionable team we've played was the Bengals. Then it was a 13 win Charger team, followed by a 14 win Colts team. Last year we had the Colts, Patriots, and Steelers. The 3 preeminent AFC franchises of the last decade. The Pats and Steelers were the 1 and 2 Vegas favorites when the playoffs started. Then consider that all of those games were played on the road.

I am a dolphins fan and am not embarrassed. Sounds sort of like when you tell yourself sanchize is good. Straight up lies.
