Flukes happen ;)

1) Gus
2) Sage
3) Berlin - he CAN be a project in the making if well coached

Unfortunately with the Cap hit with AJ i doubt this will happen.

There wouldn't be much of a cap hit if we get rid of him now or soon after this season.

One decent game doesn't make a career. If he could play well CONSISTENTLY no one here would have a problem with him.

the quote you responded to was in reference to frerotte being light years ahead of feeley. is frerotte the type of consistency you're looking for in a qb?

I can't believe how people will hang their faith on ONE game. And it wasn't like he played an incredible game. It was just his best game. His best game doesn't make it a great game and it certainly doesn't make him a good, starting caliber QB. I've said it numerous other times: One throw...ONE THROW to a 6'3" wide reciever being covered by a 5'8" WR who was playing corner. Ryan Leaf could have made that throw. Just throw it up high and let the taller man go get it. WOW!! That's hall of fame stuff there. No offense to you all who hang their hats on that one game and one play, but if that's all it takes to win over your support, then you are way too easy.

Which reminds me of the quote Feeley made last night: ''We just didn't get much going,'' Feeley lamented. ``You get a little frustrated so you throw the ball down the field and hope your guy makes a play. Sometimes it goes your way, sometimes it doesn't.'' Well, it just so happened THOMPSON made the play over the much smaller Troy Brown.

You are talking about the same game their D dropped close to 4 easy ints. Go back and watch film before trying to deny it.

No, but Feeley sure as hell isn't.

Frerotte at least has some composure. Advantage Frerotte.

As far as consitently move the ball and getting us in scoring positon the answer is yes.

For nearly two years, I have been waiting for AJ to step up and be the next great QB.

Did you follow him when he was the #3 in Philly:confused:

I just can't understand why we haven't drafted a top notch quarterback in the last 5-10 years? We all knew Dan couldn't play forever. Didn't that ever cross Jimmy's or Wanny's minds? DUH!
Now this I agree with whole-heartedly. When was the last time we actually drafted a QB in the first 2-3 rounds?:shakeno:

I didn't say he was. You made a reference to one decent game by Feeley and I simply pointed out one game doesn't make a career. When you really look at it, that wasn't a great game. His stats were adequate. It was basically what we had with Fiedler for years. So far this year, I would say Gus has been more consistent. At least the team is scoring when he's at the controls.

I think at this point it looks like Gus. He has looked much better. But it's still early so we'll see.

sorry. got the game on tape. 4 easy picks dropped? not even close. there was one on a sideline that was at the dbs shoelaces. it would have been an incredible int and there was only one other one thrown also difficult and that was it.

Also I notice Gus utilizes the WR's much more in the offense. Feeley tends to dink and dunk to his outlet recievers. Possibly because Gus knows the system better. I have to tell you, based on last year, Lienhan's system seemed to fit Frerotte well.

Wow you watched the whole thing already......please go back and watch before making a unknowledgeable comment. Without looking I know of one that hit either Vrabel or Bruschi in the gut. PLease go back and watch it.

who said that made his career. im comparing him to frerotte who has yet to start one. honestly neither one is going to alter our record. if the rest of team plays well we may have a decent record. if the team plays like crap neither one of these guys is going to take the team on their shoulders
