What trade value does Matt Moore have

This whole Sanchez/Moore debate is like the Southpark episode where they have to choose between a giant douche and a turd sandwich for their school mascot. My vote's with turd sandwich at this point but doesn't mean I'm overly thrilled with the selection...

Anyways back to the original topic, the value Moore has to the Fins is much higher than any late round draft pick that some other team would be willing to give up for him. Having Moore gives us some options on which direction we decide to go this year. If the team decides to pass on Flynn/Manning/RG3 he serves as a decent place holder and if they do get one of those guys he serves as a great backup.

You can say what you want but I speak the truth. Only some dolphin fans would say they would rather have matt Moore than mark Sanchez. Also when have you read any overwhelming praise I have for Mark Sanchez but lets not be silly and act like Moore has had a better career than Sanchez or that he has more trade value. Please ask any knowledgable person and he would laugh at the assumption that moore has more trade value than Sanchez. My answer is predictable because its common damn sense. hell even after a good year all you can hear out of our coaches and ownership is we need a damn quarterback. i dont know why we cant be happy that Moore played well without trying to act like he is the find of the century. Im all for keeping him and seeing what he has got but there is a reason we were able to sign him off the scrap heap for peanuts.

You will never hear this Miami fan utter anything about wanting Sanchez in Miami. **** that. If Miami has to live through Matt Moore one more seasons as the offensive steward, sobeit but it still doesn't mean I don't want Miami making plays for a QB for the long term.

Sanchez is a hot steaming pile of garbage and if Miami made a play for any QB I would personally want it with the notion that the potential of the QB would far exceed that of Suckhez.

If the QB isn't a Brees, Manning(s), Brady, Rogers, etc...keep on looking.

do you not read ever? I've literally posted the same thing at least 5 times that while he was playing in the Dolphin game, the Titans game was still going on and went down to the last second, the Jets game ended before the Titans game so Sanchez had NO idea they were eliminated!! They lost that game with a chance still to go, i love how you are almost trying to make it sound like a good thing that the Jets lost because they wouldn't have made it anyway because the Titans won, BUT im sure if the Titans lost, because the rest of the breaks actually did go the Jets way with the rest of the games and the Jets woulda backed in just like 09', you would be praising them and making up all types of BS excuses how they didnt back in and Sanchez "led" them to the playoffs even though he threw 3 picks and lost them the Dophins game. Any to reiterate for the 1,000th time like everyone on this sit has said, Sanchez did not have "success" his rookie year since you claim he only failed once out of 3 years, he was AWFUL in 09' how you could possibly say he "led" them to anything that year is beyond me and just shows how much you are obsessed with Sanchez and blinded with homerism, he was terrible a turnover machine lost them games single handily, he had the number ONE defense in the league and a top 3 running game, they got let into the playoffs by the Colts, woopdie doo he won them a wild card and a divisional playoff game, so for 2 out of 19 games that year he did okay, get over the two title game LOSSES already please, stop living in the past and realize Sanchez was awful this past year and choked in the biggest game of the season in the 2011 season, this is not 09' or 10'

It turned out the only other game we needed to go our way was Tennessee but we also needed Oak and Den to lose later in the day. The odds of making it if we won were very remote and as it turns out if we won we wouldn't have made it.

It actually was a good thing the jets lost b/c if we won and then saw the texans lose the way they did it would have been crushing.

There's no such thing as backing in, you either win the games required to get in or you don't. backing in is a whiny excuse for jealous fans of opposing teams.

hmmm so say the Titans lost, and the other games went the actual way they did go,the fact remains the Jets still choked and lost knowing that if they won they still had a shot, those odds were not that remote apparantly since if the Jets would not have choked, and a last second loss by the Texans turns into a last second win, it was very very possible, and how you can now use the excuse of of the loss being a good thing b/c it would have been crushing, at least you would have know your team took care of its business and gave themselves and their fans a shot, but instead them and their QB choked terribly when it mattered most, thats a simple fact, stop trying to sugarcoat it, fact is they lost their last 3 games and didnt get the breaks to go their way like years past and were exposed for the overrated over hyped premadonna team they are

The titans didn't lose and had they lost and we won we would have earned our spot.

At the time I certianly didn't want to lose but if we won then watchined Hou blow that game it would have been more difficult.

Our QB choked and our team choked. It happens from time to time, we weren't very good last year.

Breaks like having an extremely close play that looked like a pass called a fumble in the '10 title game? breaks liks having our K mised a 20 something yd FG at NE in the div rd? Breaks like having half our secondary get hurt in Indy in the '09 title game and losing Shonn Greene in the 2nd half? breaks like Santonio dropping a wide open TD vs. Miami in '10? I'm just wondering wherre all these breaks are? B/c we got a qtr and a half of Indy backups in a close game? Sure that was a break and like good teams do we took advantage.

I'd rather have Moore than 12-15 starting QB's in this league. He's not better than the obvious Brees, Rogers, Brady, Rivers, etc... but he's better than a lot of the junk out there.

Moore was ahead of Cutler, Vick, Hasselbeck, Newton, Dalton, Fitzpatrick, Flacco, Sanchez, Freeman, and a few others in terms of QB rating. He doesn't suck in the least and the main reason I want Peyton Manning is because I'd rather have Moore back up Manning than signing the team over to Matt Flynn who has Matt Cassell and Kevin Kolb written all over him.

I'm with you bro. Moore was almost top 10 last year. Can he repeat that or better? That is the question. I want Moore to start with a decent O-line and a full offseason

heh, in the game where the Colts were actually trying with their first stringers, despite no Sanders and a hobbled Freeney, if we're talking about "the last 1 and half quarters" of play (that would be approx 23 mins.. then it would be Indy 17, Jest 0, instead of merely 24 - 0 in the last 31 mins. Negates any delusion that Indy didn't really gift a backdoor entry into the playoffs in 09. The charity was so egregious that as a result, the NFL changed their scheduling policies so that the last few games were against divisional rivals. And low and behold, when the jest still had something to play for, you can say what you will about the fins, but they put a stop to even any remote chances of yet another backdoor playoff sneak in.

Again, when a team loses 6 out of 7, beats teams with a cumulative sub .400 winning percentage, needs but fails to beat Atlanta with nothing to play for at home to legitimately qualify for a wildcard and then gets gifted into the playoffs, despite the spinning, there are no kudos for the team, the dummass coach who actually thought they were eliminated, nor for the clueless subpar QB. Sorry, but that's the reality. :idk:

I think Matt Moore's only got trade value if someone gets hurt after camp starts.

Yeah he was actually the 12th rated QB. I think that qualifies as almost top 10. Unlike your loser of a QB who was 23rd. Sanchez is awful and so is your twisted green opinion

it's a good thing we don't rate QBs base don QB ratings, if we did then guys like Chad Pennington, Matt Schaub, Matt Ryan would be considered better than Dan Marino.

anyone that knows anything about the game knows there wouldn't be a competition btw Sanchez and Moore. Moore is a nice backup, nothing more.

Awesome! he played slightly better in meaningless games w/ no pressure to win. He did this in Carolina too, no GM would give up a bag of balls for Moore. when Moore plays in and wins a big game then we can begin to talk.

Lol yeah and Sanchez played like miserable dog **** in games that mattered a lot. I'm not a Matt Moore proponent at all but I do actually think that he had a slightly better year than Sanchez.... Which isn't saying much anyway.
