What was Wright thinking?

I feel bad for the guy too but I think it's so funny how the dude started to cry. I mean yeah he got yelled at in front of the team, but it's not the end of the world.

Let's just drop this subject so that we can spare coach saban the embarassment of having a soft player

May not be the end of the world but for most rookies every mistake could mean being cut.

I really hate the fact that people exploit the guy possibly crying. Noboby was there. It could have been anything, allergies, sweat in the eyes, a cold, anything.

I watched a old interview with Art Donavan, and he said when
Shula first showed up at Baltimore he jumped on Art so bad,
that Art was crying,he was so mad.Art was a bad S.O.B. in
his time.**Disipline=break down-build back up.***

I'm with most of you, he's become a favorite with me.... not because he's got a soft side.... but because he even cares enough to cry about it in the first place! My guess is he was sore from the earlier workouts and the trainers told him to lay off some and perhaps he understood it as not dressing out, hence the "misundertanding". But let's give him a break, most of the first hand reports had him giving a lot of effort, he's obviously out of playing shape, and since being drafted ...what a week ago, he's had to relocate to a place on the other side of the country, with all new faces ... a true fish outta water. Don't forget the new money/responsibility, being a hair's breath of not being drafted at all and no fall-back to college. I'm sure there is a lot on his mind just with understanding the defense!...I tend to think it was more a situation of frustration of not being comfortable enough to express to the coach his mis-understanding, that could very have well been his position coach's or trainer's fault in the first place coupled with all the rest mentioned above.

I've seen examples of people who get their adrenaline running so high that under circumstances of an argument the tears just start flowing, even if they're just angry. But I like having someone on the team like that. The couple of people I know like that are incredibly passionate and are an asset to whatever they are doing.

He probably became very upset after being disciplined and embarassed in front of his teammates, the media and fans over what he perceived as a misunderstanding. Deep down he most likely would have liked to have delt with Saban in a more up-close and personal manner ( if you know what I mean). Let's hope for his and Saban's sake that he takes out his anger on opposing teams. ;)

Peace.................................................

He's 21yrs. old and has only been "on the job" for 2 days....I think that we can cut him some slack. Fortunately, we don't have cameras & reporters following our every move when we do something foolish or immature. He'll be fine.
