C'mon, this is just Randy's annual whack-o-wife. Wal-Mart are going to sign him on to sell wife-beaters nationwide.

Men should never hit women/girls, period. Any excuses for deviating from this would have to be incredibly out of the ordinary. I can not believe that so many people on this website are willing to make excuses for RM's behavior. What if this? What if that? How about if he just grabbed ahold of her and took her to the ground and held her there until someone called the police? Evidently there were several witnesses. Had he done that, he wouldn't have been in the wrong and his wife would have most likely been the one to get arrested. Randy McMichael is 250# and in good shape. The guy could most likely pummel the average man. I think it's reasonable to assume that he could nonviolently get physical control of his wife; PCP, Bi-Polar Disorder or whatever (and just as an FYI, I am a counselor at a mental health facility so I do know a little smoething about Bi-Polar Disorder). The bottom line here is that no one should never hit their wife; not ever. Do not try to convince yourself that there was no alternative-there is always an alternative. People who say they had no alternative are fooling themselves and trying to excuse the fact that they lost their own temper and took the easy way out.
 
now hold up here guys this is absolutely ridiculus what if a woman is attacking you like some of the guys have said ? i am not going to stand there and get possibly killed . just because randy is a football player doesn't make him guilty women kill people too . randy may not be innocent but he might not be guilty. randy could be looking at a 5 game suspension from the nfl but its too early to know. randy needs help , so i dont want to kick him off the team but i dont condone this behavior either.

I guess I missed the part in report where it said she was on PCP. Please stop defending him. This is the SECOND time this has happened and who knows how many more times it has not been reported. Will he be cut? Probably not But defending his actions...really?

What is this? This is a Miami Dolphins forums, as opposed to a womans rights seminar. I see where you're coming from -- It's not right but the people defending him here are his fans, his support -- people who are his rocks when he needs them and without knowing all the facts, as is the case with all of us at this current time, we can't make calculated opinions.

Where are the reports Randy's wife was trying to kill him? Where are the reports she was putting his life in harms way?

Randy was arrested not her. If his life was in danger despite his size the police would have arrested her. They did not arrest her did they?

Lets all praise Randy now for beating on his wife. There is no excuse, NONE!
Anyone who defends him is just as guilty. If your defending him have your wife or girlfriend read what you post. Let them know who you really are!

When is it OK to hit a woman? When she is coming at you with a knife or a gun, if you were smart though you would be running!

Lets start a thread now about beating kids shall we? If your a football player is this cool too?

Who has been praising him? Anyone on here who hasn't condemned him has simply said we should wait until we actually know what happened. That's hardly praise.

Last time I checked, arrested and convicted were two ENTIRELY different things.
 
I read the story and it sounds to me like just a spat. If McMichael wanted to beat her she be on life support right now. She said it was inadvertent and I have no reason to believe otherwise. A couple of drops of blood doesnt sound like wife beating to me
 
Why did the police show up? Why did they arrest him and keep him in jail overnight?

Do we have to find a glove for McMike that doesnt fit like OJ.
