Sup fellow Finfans just curious as to how all of you perceived Roth's performance Vs. Da Bears?

He made one nice tackle of the QB in the backfield after a long chase....just took forever for him to get there.

its preseason and i am still high on the kid ...

it looked like to me he stuck to any lineman that came near him. Did Roth and the bears o-line have magnets in their pockets?

He looked a little slow out of the blocks. I think a player like him is much better in a real game than in practice or a practice game. I know he is intense all the time, but only in the games is it so strong it actually elevates his game. I have faith in him.

He was ok, i was disappointed they didn't get more pressure on the Bears QB's though, but he did have that one nice tackle where one of the Bears QB's ran back like 30 yards and had no where to go so ran all the way up but got a loss of yards. BTW what happened on that play? because ABC cut away to Steve Young and all of a sudden the Bears were back at the Miami 10 yard line?

He looks like he has looked at practice... He has trouble getting off blocks. Looked quick off the line, but just cant disengage the lineman once they lock up...

Nasty

yeah but he is still learning the speed of the pro game... he has a few weeks to pick up his technique some... hopefully it will be enough... he does have a future in the pro game... imo

I think he looked like a guy who is realizing how much harder it will be to be dominant in the NFL. Playing against kids two years out of high school and/or others who'll never even sniff an NFL TC is alot easier than battling an NFL tackle who will take it very personally if he gives up a sack. I believe Roth will be okay, but Taylor, Bowens, whomever, don't need to be looking over their shoulder, yet.

Same thing here, slow. Needs to really improve his penetration of the blocks and get to the qb much better

he will be fine it takes time to adjust to the speed of the pro level he needs to stop thinking he can just bull rush everyone he needs a couple of moves to put on the o-linemen........
