i think it is a close toss up between LJ and allen :hump:

Allen because it looks like he has finally healed and showed up vs dallas
i think sapp is suspect yes he can make big plays
though he might get picked on and thrown on alot..

a close second is Larry johnson because bush hasn't played a full season and the rookie thomas still learning and i thought larry could teach the rook a thing or 2 about seeing the run develop instead of running into blockers..:hi5:

my darkhorse is devlin
if we can sneak him on the practice squad then it
would be considered a good move because obviously he is not nfl ready but
he might be a real qb some day..:ponder:

Will Allen...we need somebody to help cover against guys like Brady, Schaub and Rivers ect. Really thought he was looking good. I don't get this move at all.

Honestly, I don't think we will regret cutting any of these players. People flipped out when Douglas and Grant were cut last year and did we regret cutting them? No.

i think its too early cus we dont know who is on PS but of the vets I would say .....allen. but murtha hurts more than anything right now.

Lets not forget that Allen hasn't played a regular season game since early 2009 and missed a lot of this training camp because he was hurt. He did shine, but it was against 2nd and 3rd string players who a lot lost their jobs today also. Not real shocked that he was cut, and it is surprising that some of you are shocked. Is it sad? Yes. Could he have made the team? Yes, but he was always a bubble player.

Will Allen...by a mile. Never turn down solid veteran leadership play. He must of not been healthy. I wouldn't be surprised if Miami planned on cutting him all along with the intention of resigning after week one due to his injury bug and not wanting to guarantee his contract.

I know he hadn't played, but that's why they needed to see him play, and he couldn't have looked much better for a final preseason game....covered good, ran well, so it leads you to think he could possibly be somewhat close to his old form.....just can't see how he wasn't better than Sapp unless it was all over injury concern. The man had already taken a pay cut too.

I'm just not impressed with Sapp. He always seems to be out of position. He might tackle well but lets him man get open way too often for my blood. I also haven't seen anything from Carroll. I was certain he was going to be the 4th CB going into this season with the possiblity of being the nickel but he looked bad real bad this preseason. I think this is why so many people including me were surprised with the Allen cut.

Sapp actually was decent this preseason, and has shown he can stay healthy. Allen seems to be constantly missing practices with injury problems, and he may not last many regular season games. From an injury standpoint, I would pick Sapp over Allen.

Now that I thinking about it I am the most surprised by the lack of trades that didn't take place. With all of the talk about teams being more inclined to trade due to a shortened time period to fill out roster needs I was expecting more. And we usually trade someone almost every year for a 7th rounder. Call me most surprised by that.

we're solid at corner - although allen could've possibly gotten us a late round pick - there are a few teams desperate for corners. but it's not like he'll go on to have 5 more great seasons and leave us flapping in the wind. he's only got another season in him - two at the most.

if any of those youngsters end up becoming studs we'll regret that. freeny? chisolm? who knows.

I really wish would would of kept Larry Johnson. We have youth in Bush and Thomas it would of been great to have back like Johnson that has the potential to put a All Pro flashes on the field if needed. But now Thomas needs to figure things out, its not going to be easy for him because he playing behind a line thats also trying to figure things out.
