No.........Wannstedt taking over this team was the worst thing that ever happened to this franchise.

I am not a Wanny fan, but he did take the team to the playoffs a few times, and actually was part of the last time Miami won a playoff game. Many were even predicting the Dolphins to actually be in the playoffs again in 2004, then he lost his best player, and unlike the spineless lying HC in Alabama that ran away the moment things got hot, Wanny stayed put and tried to compete.

Is Saban a better HC then Wanny, yes, worlds better. Is Saban a better talent evaluator then Wanny, I would like to think so, yet Saban was not able to get as much success from the team, missed on being able to get not one, but two franchise QBs looking at him right in his two faces, and when he took over the Dolphins, there were plenty of players that were taken by Wanny, and continued to stay until they left, while EVERY SINGLE PLAYER the great Saban picked, fizzed out after a few year, the longest was Brown, which he got 2nd overall, then even there, Rodgers would have been a HECK of a better pick.....Failure as a NFL HC, as a GM, as a standup guy, and as human being.

After he left, Miami went down hill, and started to for the 1st time, have multiple losing seasons, thanks to hhaving to get rid of most of the picks Saban made, and start all over again.


Oh and looky there, Saban is just 1 behind Wanny for the lead in the poll...guess if your not an Alabama fan, the choice is clear...

Saban is listed twice.

I'm a Dolphan. The one over-riding thing those guys all have in common is that the local m0r0ns in the press SLIMED AND MALIGNED THEM and completely disregarded
ALL of their accomplishments.

Compared to other NFL teams the Dolphins have done well most years EXCEPT for with one Head coach and that guy isn't even listed there.

The guy I would erase would be cam cam-m0r0n followed by Tom Olividatti.

The only guy on that list I would want erased is Philbin. He is the only one who screwed up as badly as he did and shows up on that list.

Wayne was a great owner, most of those coaches won plenty of games and took us to the playoffs at one point. Saban left after he heard that Wayne was selling the team.The local press have created a pathetic sad story that has almost no connection with reality regarding the Miami Dolphins

I would have respected the guy more if he had just said I am being offered a position with Alabama (An extremely prestigious job), and considering he is not cut out to be in the NFL, I would have had more respect for him, but he acted like a 5 year old caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

It all went down hill once we replaced Shula. Everyone of these idiots sucked the life out of this franchise.
All my life the Phins were winning until that fateful day we replaced Shula. If we weren't winning the AFC East, the team that was winning it, had to fight us for it. The Jets, Bills, and Pats all took there turns on top of the East but back in the day they all had to fight the Phins for that title. Now they fight us for the worst record in the division to get the easiest schedule the next year.
I am sick and tired of bringing in coaches with their systems and forcing that system on our talent and then drafting to fit a system. Shula would change his coaching style to match his talent.

BRING BACK SHULA!! He could still out coach the morons we have hired since he has left. (tongue in cheek)

I truly wish,..and Nick has said it many times..he handled it wrong,saying he wasn't going to Alabama...He was trying to protect the team...I really wish after all the way nitwits here talk
about him..that he would have just said"Hell ,yes I'm leaving this dumpster fire here and pulled a Petrino.

Saban figured out his bulling players works better with students in college then with millionaires in the NFL. which meant he was going to actually have to coach to succeed, this is why college is perfect for him....he is not a NFL HC.
