Who do you want us to draft in the 1st round?

I said the same thing about Clay Matthews and Hakeem Nicks in 2009...of course we took Vontae Davis but that's beside the point...stranger things have happened.

we cant ride with this oline again...just can't...i will drop dead...almost died this year with that unit and the lb core...that said ebron in clays role with a lot of the flex stuff etc would be filthy...but they are gonna want to give clay a ton of snaps again next year...i dont think ebron as a primary in line guy is a great fit

you want that mismatch against lbs and safeties and flexed or split wide

against it cause we have bigger needs...he's a freak plays tight end like a wr...has a wr skill set and body control in a tight end body...but he's also not getting to us...

I realize that blocking sunk this team but even as bad as it was I don't know that I can justify passing up a rare talent like that for a tackle or a center. If he falls.. you have to take him, right?

Would love Ebron, but I agree with hoops, don't think he will make it to us. If he is on the board though, I think we would have to pass. It kills me to say it, but he HAVE to fix this Oline. We took a playmaker over need last year (Jordan), and where did that get us? Unfortunately, we do not have the option to be creative in this draft, unless we make some major moves in FA, but I don't think our cap will allow us to make more than one big move.

I think it is to early to discuss this only because you don't know who we are going to pick up in Free Agency and that would have an impact on who you draft. Let's say we pick up two OL in FA that are starter material like Albert, then that would determine how you draft.

Also, let's say we get a DC who runs a 3-4 and you are looking at Wake and Jordan on the outside with Ellerbe and Misi on the inside, then you might go DL in the 1st. So, it really is going to be difficult to say.

I think you have to ... albeit IF he falls. Think of all the special weapons we've passed over, over the years. Continuing this cycle would just make me sick.

depends what's out there...if he runs anything in the late 4.5's like i think is possible forget about it...his tapes too good...i dont care what he runs his tape is that good someones pouncing on it

Assume for the sake of argument that we find ourselves in another Drew Brees / Dan Marino / Other players mentioned scenario in which the guy just drops down the draft board and suddenly we're staring at good fortune in our laps.

Just assume for a SECOND that that happens. You have to take it, right? I mean, that would be the most Dolphins thing imaginable to draft another first round center with Ebron on the board, wouldn't it?

i havent done enough study yet to say but would i in any way dislike that pick??? hell no...he's worth it for sure...and would be a great fit in this o...that size down the seam would be nasty and he runs routes like a wr...hell yeah that would be a great pick...no hoops scoops day 1 disaster thread from me

probably would mean egnew is man out

Blake Bortles...outside of him we need a tackle and guard in the worst way...

I want to take the guy who's most ready to make an impact in 2014. I don't want a developmental player. Offensive Tackles are developmental players. Wide Receivers are usually developmental players to a certain degree. We need an guy who can better than most players at his position on day one.

It would be ironic, though, if all these guys who made zero impact from the 2014 draft became studs next season. Jamar Taylor, ProBowler doesn't seem likely, though.

Do you resign Keller? I would. I think you'd send a bad message to FAs everywhere if you don't give him another chance. Try and resign Grimes cuz ya gotta believe we can be right back in the playoff hunt again in 2014 and we absolutely can't let him walk.

Man, forgive the typos: " It would be ironic, though, if all these guys who made zero impact from the 2014 draft became studs next season" I meant 2013 draft.

O-lineman are not sexy....it's like having to buy a Dodge Ram 2500 truck over the shiny red Ferrari that you really wish you could park in the garage, BUT when you don't have a franchise LT protecting your QB, you end up getting your QB sacked more than anyone else in the NFL. Tannehill was lucky not to get carted off the field with as many pops that he has taken.

I know everyone also wants a nice TE, so we can be a little more like Gronk and the Pats, but when the hell do we ever draft a Tight End? Ohh that's right, we drafted Eggnutz a couple years back. What a great pick that was. I am very happy with Clay, but he is not really the big down-the-field pass catching target like Gronk, Jordan Cameron, Antonio Gates, etc., but more of a hybrid TE/FB. Amaro or Ebron would be a nice addition, or even Dustin Keller if he recoops from his injury, but Ireland doesn't seem to value TE's, like we do here on FH. :idk:

Egnew is man out regardless IMO. He showed minimal improvement.

I know this OL sucks something awful but if Ebron is there I'm taking him. I think he has the potential to put up Jimmy Graham type numbers...factor in Charles Clay and we'd have two TEs that will keep DCs up at night. And I'd snag his teammate James Hurst in the 2nd.
