Who Does Ronnie Compare Too?

Who got the bulk of the carries ?? Carnell
Who started each drive? Carnell

What does this say? It says that since Carnell got at least the first 3-5 carries on each drive, it wore down the defense

what defense is worn down after 3-5 carries?

Bo Jackson was ten times of a more physically imposing back........
Once again, your missing the point. Read carefully now. I have said the same thing 3 times now. No one is saying Brown is as talented or will be anywhere near as good as Jackson, or LT, or even Deuce for that matter, but Brown's combo of speed and power are very rare and makes him similar in STYLE to Bo Jackson. His versatility and straight line runnig style makes him similar in STYLE to LT and Mcalister.

Let me clear some things up here

-I doubt any of you watched Antwoin Smith in college but I did along w/ watching Ronnie Brown(almost every game). Smith was a "straight line" runner in college and coming out he had ridicules speed for a guy his size ala Brown. But some of you would rather compare him to Tomlinson and Duece and Brown does not neary have there agility or game breaking ability

- All I did was give my opinion of who I thought he compared too(I admit the coming to camp late and never beating out Williams was a little bit of a stab) then all of you jumped down my throat b/c I didn't agree that this guys style is like Tomlinsons, sorry but its not

-The Dayne thing was an example not a comparison
If Antwain Smith had the size/speed combo of Brown he would have gone much higher in the draft. The fact is, as a Bills fan you would rather compare Brown to a mediocre back rather than a talented one. And your original post was not just to give your opinion on who he compared to. Your exact words were "Right now he compares to a guy who could never beat out Carnell Williams in college for the starting job and will most likely report to camp late." That is just a sour Jills fan who doesn't want to hear about the new Miami RB being compared to good players. The fact that he will most likely report to camp late has nothing to do with his running style. The fact that he "couldn't beat out" Caddy has nothing to do with his style either. In fact like I said your beloved Willis McGahee couldn't beat out Frank Gore either. At least Brown split carries with Williams which can't be said about Willis.

All right I'm pretty much done arguing this were just going to have agree to disagree on what kind of back Brown is going to turn out to be. Well let the season be the judge. I will leave you w/ one question though

It doesnt bother any of you that when Carnell got injured and Brown was the full time back for 6 games that he didn't prove enough to unseat Carnell as the back who should get the bulk of the carries?

Ever hear of not losing your job to INJURY. Many coaches work like this which could explain that. Or maybe the fact that they went undefeated and utilized their best offensive weapons perfectly had something to do with Ronnie Brown not being the "Starter"

I would compare him to our own mcgahee. They both have a good combination of size and speed. They also both have the ability to catch the ball. I would not quite compare him to LT because LT is quicker and not as much of a power back and i dont think ronnie will go out and catch like 5 or 6 passes a game. LT is a super freak.

There are some people on here who are homers, but there is nothing wrong with people making pro comparisons to NFL prospects. It happens every year. The question was what NFL back does Brown's style most resemble. LT, Deuce, and Bo Jackson all have similar traits to Brown. He is not going to be a carbon copy of any of those players and may not even end up being good, he will have his own style, but the fact is prospects are compared to NFL players and those are the best comparisons.
THANK YOU FOR CLEARING THINGS UP I WAS JUST WONDERING WHO HIS RUNNING STYLE COMPARED TO NOT WHO HE IS GOING TO BE HE IS R.BROWN NO QUESTION ABOUT THAT.

That's what I thought you asked at the beginning. The answer is definately Ahman Green. I can only assume that all the people who answered LT and Faulk have never actually seen RB run and are just making skill comparisons.
