Who Else Is Suffering From There Not Being Any Football?????

I love my Dolphins so much that I am watching DVR'd games from last season! I am watching players no longer on the team just to get a "fix". I love the NFL and in particular my Dolphins so much that I can't get enough of watching them!!! Anybody else missing football as much as I am? I live and die for the Dolphins and it's not a pretty way to live.......LOL

 

I was just texting a mate today about Fins, he told me I need to get a summer sport.

 

I’m miserable. At least basketball season helps soften the void for a bit.

 

I'll suffer after the World Cup is over. Great job making up for those awful NBA Finals so far.

 

I’m doing okay so far. Miami is 0-0 so I’m not too pissed about anything. Usually around November I start to get depressed they’re only “In the Hunt”. I usually had my Spurs to lean on from then until summer but their tone is over and I’m left with nada.

 

My Football withdrawal is in full effect........

 

I am but my liver appreciates the break.

 

Nobody into the CFL?

I actually like it quite a bit.

 

I used to up until a few years ago.

Then got into Formula 1 and MotoGP racing with a similar passion to my Dolphins. Come March both series run on most sundays (always one or the other), then come football season its basically pure bliss on sundays for the first few months as all 3 run concurrently. If the dolphins poop the bed on sunday, i can switch over to a DVR'd race from same day instead of looking for chores (my usual "dolphins are getting blown out" activity) to do!

 

World Cup is holding my attention for now. Nothing like when September rolls around though...

NO!!!

 

I'll probably off myself after the World Cup. That month in a half will be too brutal to wait through.

 

I usually have that as a fallback until the NFL starts, but holy cow have the Als taken a deep dive since they lost Jim Popp... I mean they're atrocious all across the board...

 

I'm doing good with the World Cup and after that we'll get training camp soon after so it's not that bad. Next 3 years will be bad with no World Cup tho.

 

Where do you watch the CFL?

 

It's dead in S. Florida also. The Marlins have given this town a couple of World Series but they suck now so there's not much. I love Boxing so I record all the great fights. There are some really fun Boxers out there to enjoy. July 26 I'll be a Dolphin Camp.

You think you have it rough? I live in Thailand. All I have to watch sports related is volleyball, badminton, ping pong, and snooker. There is World Cup football(soccer), but that is akin to baseball - watching paint dry. AFL(Austrailan Football League) is growing on me. I long for the days I get to go to the sports bar and watch the Dolphins at 1am in the morning on a Monday.

 

For me the World Cup has been a great way to get my sports fix since Ive always loved soccer and still play Fifa video games etc...

Obviously it's not equal to watching my fins on sunday, but its been worthy, exciting and is definitely helping to pass the off season

 

I was just thinking the same exact thing and almost added it to my post lol....I guess part of what makes the World Cup so fun though is the rarity, still wish the next 3 offseasons would have something similar but they won't ;[

 

re-watching the NFL playoffs and a few selected 2017 regular season games and NCAA games.

 

Suffering? Lol...hardly!

 

But we'll get the early transfer window fireworks back!

 

I'm just trying to enjoy the summer until camp opens. Watching a lot of Yankees baseball right now. Have a 5 day trip planned first of Aug for some NHRA drag racing in Seattle and then a couple days over to Victoria B.C. September will get here soon enough!

This time of the year is the worst! I still check nfl.com and a few other websites for football news even thought I know there is none. Dan Patrick and Rich Eisen have nothing to talk about, so their shows are bad. USA isn’t in the World Cup, so has no appeal.

It’s so bad I even got married last week just for something to do

 

If you were a soccer fan as well as a USA fan the World Cup would be awesome for you...There have been some great endings and very good games already even in the early stages..

For me it truly is "the beautiful game" and I would watch high level La Liga/BPL/Bundesliga soccer games every day if I was able to...

I guess I can see how it can be too slow of build up play for some fans though making it look boring to them...

Actually I can't.... soccer is an awesome, dramatic sport, the rest of the world has it right in that they love it...the average American is the one who has it wrong

 

So am I wrong in thinking Jakeem Grant would be a big star in Canada? He's made for the wider field, quick hitch passes and crossing routes that you see a lot of in the CFL and I don't know what would go through a db's mind if Grant got a 10 yard running start prior to the snap? It would be difficult to cover someone like Grant or Tavon Austin in that league. At the snap you would have Grant already at full speed and the db is standing there flat footed.

I'm into suffering and self hatred so its okay to me. My redbirds have been depressingly streaky the last couple of years so my summers suck, I cant stand soccer, I'm a Charlotte Hornets fan so my teams season is over after game 82, im a Carolina Hurricanes fan so see previous, I don't have anything to get excited about in regards to East Carolina football. I guess the only thing I can say, is thank god I'm a Carolina Heels fan in CBB, so at keast im good til April most years, May-July suck depending on how the redbirds look
