Who forgives ricky for what he did?

I retired after 20 years in the navy. I was a HS and college athelete. I have some experience in both arenas...

again i dont get it....Barry Sanders quit around teh same time Ricky did....regardless of WHY they quit, they both did around the same time...hell for all we know, BArry could have marijuana plants in his basement

you cannot condemn him just because he happens to play football..he is a human being who bleeds, makes mistakes,etc. You guys are acting like he killed someone

::cough:: ray lewis ::cough::
It's about loyalty, and accountability. When you are a team, team mates don't do to each other what Ricky did, that is just being and Individual, where the most important part is I!

I see what you are saying, however a lot of us on this board are veterans of the armed forces, and also others who have great pride, that you never, ever quit on your teammates, or a fellow service members. It's something that is instilled in us at a very young age that ranks really high in dignity, and self repect, and respect for others.

I've never been in the armed forces or on any other kind of team for that matter but I hold loyalty above all else. That's my problem with Ricky Williams. The fact that he held no loyalty to the Dolphins just doesn't sit well with me at all. If I was Saban I would have had no contact with Ricky. I would have just let him float into obscurity.

Thanks for serving your country. I served 11 years in the Marine Corps, and we were then, and continue to be as our creed "Semper Fidelis", always faithful!

I hear you. This board is, and will continue to be very split on the topic of Ricky.

The ironic part about this argument every single time is the fact that we were all going to hate him anyways - he was going to get suspended for his drug use. Lord knows every member on this board would've gone apesh*t and sounded off on him had that ocurred. It's just that that very fact got buried behind the media circus Dwicky and LeRet*rd created.

I will never forgive RW for what he did! If he can help this team and relieve Ronnie Brown I'm all for it! I wasted money on 2 authentic jerseys for that "chumpzilla"! He cost us last year but on the good side, we got rid of wanny and brought in Saban. After all the issues he had with the Saints Miami should have known better. Some things just never change, I just hope he doesn't purchase a wizzanator!

Because there's been nothing reported about Barry that would even remotely link him to such a preposterous claim. Get real. Barry was a worldly guy.

The question is who forgives ricky for what he did i for one if and when he does comes back i will support it but i will never ever buy another ricky thing again.maybe it's just me but i have mixed feelings one part wants to forgive him the other half wants to say screw him i guess he will have to regain that trust and respect back with his teamates first and then with the fans.myself i will cheer for anybody in a fins uniform hands down but i don't know maybe im just confused. :confused:

I forgive Ricky. We all make mistakes. Why should he be any exception?

i forgive him.the only thing that got me was how sudden it was and when it happen. ricky coming back is a good thing i care about wining and ricky will help
