You do?

Tannehill has 35 career starts. How many does Moore have?

How do you not know what you have in Tannehill after that many starts but, at the same time you are convinced you can write the book on Moore?

Cause he's a 30 year old journeyman. Tannehill is young and has better physical tools, with very little college experience. If one guy is more likely to improve rather than regress it's Tannehill. But hey he's regressed so far this year, but Moore isn't bringing us ****.

A little birdie told me there is more "Oh no, Jameis, you didn't!" coming out in the next couple of weeks. So yeah, we didn't pick a good year for the Seth Lobato Experience.

One of my best buddies is an FSU grad and huge Jameis homer........so please do tell what did the little birdie say?

I've been wanting Tannehill to finish off this season and probably should start next game just based on this being his make or break year or whatever. I wouldn't be opposed to letting Moore start at all at this point, though. Tannehill has infuriated me even though the 1-2 start hasn't all been his fault. He hasn't been able to capitalize when the opportunities are available. So at this point I don't care who starts, but at least with Moore you know there will be some sort of excitement even if we won't win a lot of games with him. Tannehill looks like a rookie and Moore is not the savior, just a solid player who never gets the starting job.

Well this poll does show there is some sanity here on the forum although 30 percent wanting career journeyman Matt Moore as their starting qb is still alarming.
whats next are we to regret not keeping Austin Davis

Career journeyman or career journeyman in waiting? I'll go with the career journeyman with the better record in his last 9 starts, over the career journeyman in waiting.

Tannehill will not be a journeyman.

He will be lucky to get a backup job in the NFL after his time here is up. If he does get one, he will not last much longer.

People are underestimating just how awful Tannehill is. He is worse than most teams' backup QBs.

So u only include those 9 starts , why not the rest. Also it was a totally different offense. Matt Moore is a backup for a reason and its not because 32 NFL teams are somehow prejudiced against him.
So we are to judge Moore only by his pay for one season two seasons ago and just forget that two different OCs still prefer other qb's over him.

They need to ride out the season with Tannehill know matter how painful it may be at times. We know what Matt Moore brings to the table.

That is a thought that has crossed my mind. Problem is there is no Andrew Luck coming out.

Tannehill starting every game for the rest of the season, seams to be the same as Indy starting painter every game. Tannehill was qb because his college coach was the new OC for Miami. Moore was better than Tannehill is now, and Tannehill gets all the reps with first team, Moore doesn't. Moore makes mistakes, Marino made mistakes, but with the arm moore has, he has the ability to make up for and overcome those mistakes because he can throw downfield better than tannehill. Why do you think teams play such good defense against us? Because the defense knows that Tannehill hits 1 out of every 25 throws that he attempts over 15 yards.. Tannehill aint scaring nobodys defense, except ours. That's because our defense won't get any rest, no matter how good they play, Tannehill will give the ball back in 3 downs, 80% of the time.

Absolutely, no doubt in my mind...Tannehill.

Absolutely, no doubt in my mind...... Tannehill sucks!

ifpoint one was so true they would never have signed Garrard that season who for a brief time was number one on depth chart

based on what, higher draft slot?

and dont tell me '' if moore was better he would be starting''.

no, tannehill never earned the job, he was given it. if u think tannehill was actually the best qb in camp in 2012 and earned it, i got a bridge to sell u. this was the qb philbin drafted, and mike sherman coached him at texas a&m, no way he was not starting. they were going to sink or swim with him.

same thing with sparano in 2011, henne was his guy, he was never going to bench henne in favor of moore even though moore was clearly better, but when henne got hurt, he had no choice.

This rest of the season will be a very complicated and crucial one for this team.

Even though there is much greater reward with Tannehill then Moore, if Tannehill does continue to regress, it is very doubtful he ever comes back from it, he will not again change direction and all of a sudden start to show progress. he will start doubting himself, he will hear footsteps that are not there, and he will go the direction of Henne and Sanchez.

Moore may give you a better deep ball, and a closer to a finished product, but you will not have any real chance at the playoffs with him, while with Tannehill, if the light does eventually go on (Like it did for players like Drew Brees, Troy Aikman, Eli Manning to name a few), playoffs and beyond is still very possible.

C'mon man? Isn't it obvious to you Tannehill isn't taking us anywhere? Why not Moore? He looked good in the offense in preseason.

What's the downside?

BAsed on he beat out Moore as a rookie to be the starting qb. Nobody handed Tannehill the job. They signed Garrard to be the starter, that's how good the new staff felt about Moore as a qb. Amazing how the whole league somehow overlooks how great a qb that Moore is.
Even Moore knew he was a backup that's why he resigned with us instead of trying to compete for a starting job.
