Who's still excited that we got Ronnie Brown???

Just because Benson has the most yards doesnt mean that he is the best. We really didn't need a hard runner RB, we needed a RB that is more of a complete RB like Brown. Brown will help out your running and passing game aswell. Saban knows talent when he sees it, so Brown won't be like the other RB's that we drafted in the past.

Right. I think Saban likes a multi-faceted back who he can use in different ways. Saban is a defensive coach at heart, but likes to confuse and deceive his opponents. Less likely to be able to do that on offense with a running back who is a straight ahead road grader.

Saban obviously didnt feel like he was getting what he wanted for the #2 pick. Just because these were the circumstances it doesnt mean he didn't have a trade partner. You think YOU know what went on behind the scenes? Please...no one knows. All i said was that they could have traded if they wanted to, and perhaps walked away with Brown and Rodgers. The few picks that led up to Rodgers were either trades for 2nd and or third round picks or seriously talking about it. We could have had him and lost the pick of Roth perhaps...who knows. Saban obviously didnt see enough in the kid to take him...end of story. I'll wait till next year as we all will. Perhaps then( should AJ not take over the team permanently) well get our QB.

Ok, I agree that we must wait for a QB if Feeley doesn't work this year (of course). But if you think Saban should or could have forseen Rodgers falling as far as he did, then you are simply applying your 20/20 hindsight. It's a chess game, and Saban played it as well as anybody. He even tried to fake interest in Edwards (the only guy anyone would trade up for because of the three or four options at running back that were available) but obviously did not get any serious offers for the pick. I don't need to know what went on behind the scenes. Anybody knows that if he did not trade the pick it was because he did not get a serious offer for it. He was saying he was interested in a different player each week leading up to the draft trying to get a trade, but it did not work. You can't fault Saban for choosing not to trade down because there were no legitimate offers obviously.

Really? Do they allow this stupidity on this board? They shouldnt.

Apparently they do. You are the third Bills fan I've seen here today. :rofl3:

Im real about my Bills. I know Losman is unknown. I would be shocked to see anyone be Real about their Fins.

WOW admitting that a guy who has played very little is unknown! You are a realistic fan. Hmmmmm. How about this. If you started for my Fins this year, you would be an unknown. I'm not going to say you'd suck, because I have no proof. My Fins heart wants to say that you will be the next Marino, but until I see more, I'll be objective and say you are an unknown.

There, see? Fin fans are realistic just like you smart guy!

With statements like that your no benefit to this site. Clumpy. Now there's a Bills fan that's a benefit to this site. Anybody can pull stats out of their butt if they spend the time at it. Getting into meaningless squabbles every other day with the average fan of this board is of no benefit.

Yup.

I'm still excited... the closer to the season we get the more excited I get. I'm anticipating how he'll perform first game of the season against the Broncos. Hell... I'm looking forward to watching him play if it's just one series against the Bears in the Hall of Fame game.

If you are one of those who wishes we would have taken Cadillac Williams, or if the enthusiasm of getting Ronnie has worn down a little, read this:

I was playing around on a search engine and I found these pre-draft scouting reviews on Ronnie.

Willis McGahee, your days as the AFC East's most promising back of the future just ended, my friend.

Hey I like Willis(They have other guys I respect too). As for your question I am always excited when it comes to us getting good players.

Never did i say that Saban anticipated the free fall Rodgers went through. No one really did at first. He however was still available and the Dolphins could have traded their 2nd round or w/e for him as Seattle traded with Oakland or maybe the spot before. My point is Saban didnt think enough of him to trade the 2nd round pick so whatever were saying is completely irrelevant. Neither do i fault Saban for choosing not to trade down whatever he did i was going to be fine with. I can however still have my opinion and say that i am still bitter about the whole situation. Thats just how i feel. Perhaps next year well pick up someone who can lead us to the promise land and help us all forget about this. Anyways...ive said it before and ill say it again. I hope AJ kicks a$$ this year and we win 13 games....i just dont see it happening with him at the helm. Cheers.
