I'm amazed at how many people are able to clearly judge a QB based on 7 pass attempts, 5 of which that should have been complete, and 1 that was thrown away because it was a play that got blown up. He had 6 legit attempts to complete a pass, he completed 4 of them, all right on the money, and had a 5th that was on the money but dropped. Meanwhile, Frerotte's 2 biggest completions were total luck. He's lucky that both of those passes were not intercepted. When you underthrow a 44-yard pass into double coverage, it should be intercepted more often than it's complete. And when you're trying to throw the ball to the TE, but it slips off your hand, and winds up in the middle of the field, those also get intercepted on a regular basis. Instead, Frerotte got lucky and got a TD out of it. Personally, I think the QB's both did some good things, and we should be glad for that. It's too soon to judge who is going to be the starter. As Dolphins' fans, we should all be rooting for Feeley. Our only real shot to get this team turned around while our defensive talent is not too old is if Feeley steps up. Frerotte is 34 years old, entering his 12th year in the NFL. He's started 64 games, and has always shown that he's never going to be a good starter. To expect him to suddenly be better at age 34 doesn't make sense. And for what it's worth, as bad as Feeley was last year, his career completion percentage is better than Frerotte's (54.8 to 54.6). If Frerotte winds up being our starter, it means another year of being bad to mediocre, drafting a QB next year, and then waiting 3-4 years for the young QB to develop.
