Why does everyone think Cleveland is going to beat us?

The problem is, and has been with this regime, that they play to the level of their competition every time. They hang in there with NE, then **** the bed in a close game against the likes of Cleveland, even if they were worse talent wise than us (debatable). They've had 3 games over the past two years that were won by two scoring possession margins. In every other, the team was still in it until the end, and often won.

Like Wanny, they can't finish a game off. That's why teams like Cleveland, and every team for that matter, pose a threat regardless of talent differences.

Cleveland is better than Miami. Hard to believe but they are. Better o-line, better QB, better RB, better coaches, they are at home. They have more talent than the Dolphins

It is too soon to make that statement. I do not believe we have a should make that evaluation without seeing more games this season.

Riiight... Ive been as hard as anyone on the Dolphins but they're better than the Browns. That's not to say the Dolphins wont shoot themselves in the foot like they did against the Texans but you have to have an agenda to actually think the Browns are more talented than the Dolphins. They got beat by the Bengals for crying out loud and made the Colts look decent. Colt McCoy isnt any better than Henne either. Im a Big 12 fan (OU) Ive watched plenty of McCoy he isnt great.Everyone thinks the Browns are this great running team because of Peyton Hillis, look at the numbers from last year. Their running game isnt great and their offense was worst than ours last year. Could they beat us by taking advantage of turnovers, drops, missed FG's, Jones and Carroll? Sure. But better talent wise? No. Ill make a bet with you since you want to exaggerate about a bad team (Dolphins) being worse than they really are. I ll bet you at the end of the year the Dolphins have more wins than the Browns. The loser leaves this board forever. Deal?

All this debate and no one points out the obvious? Two words! Josh Cribbs! Our special teams is a unmitigated train wreck and he will score 1 TD and give them good enough field position to beat us.

thats not a good reason imo.

if you think cleveland will beat miami, im not going to sit here and say ur an idiot, because the way miami is playing now, cleveland is not an easy place to play, and we are really significantly better than them at any position overall for the most part, but them beating us last year wont really factor in so much as to who wins.

I just laughed out loud watching AFC playbook. Baldy showed 2 plays where we messed up big time on offense and then said, "Cleveland will give the Dolphins plenty of oppurtunties to take advantage of, but the Dolphins won't". I really thought that quote summed up the fins for the last 3 years.

The fact is that the Dolphins played two teams ranked in the top five in the whole league and the Browns played two of the bottom ten. The Colts without Peyton Manning are a joke, so no surprise they won the game. This game is pretty even, but it is gut check time for the Dolphins and the fans are getting tired of the lame excuses. The Browns head coach said on the radio today that the Dolphins have a good team and are much better than what their record says because of who they have played thus far. He went on saying that the Browns must play their best football in order to beat Miami and the same thing can be said about the Dolphins. WIN there is no other option.

BTW, I think both team are simular, two up and coming teams that maybe just a year away from making noise in the play offs. Two games don't make a season and it's way to early to write these guys off, still plenty of games left to change public opinion. I am just as disappointed as anyone on here, but I still think the Dolphins can salvage the season and get on a roll. It was good to hear the player held a meeting and also good to hear that the players all back the coach 100%...now it's time to prove it on the field.

Cleveland is awful. They lost to the bengals, they have starting injuries on the O line, their Defense is awful their receivers are awful

Unless Peyton Hillis puts the team on his back I dont see them even being close


This whole rumors of Sparano being kicked, its not going to happen, He's going to stay for most of the year because this team will win games including Cleveland, It just wont be enough by the time the season is over

I think it's more about the Dolphins beating themselves.

Sounds like there are a lot of folks on here who haven't actually watched Cleveland play this year, just the highlight reel. Cleveland f'ing sucks. If we can't beat them, say bye bye to the season.

Other people have said it and I agree. The Dolphins know how to beat the Dolphins. That's the reason I can see us losing to the Browns. I can't see too many scenarios of the them beating us, but I see way too many scenarios of us beating us.
